I went back to Wheels to get my plate and test drive their other Elantra units pero sinabi ng friend ko doon that he just test drove his friend's 1.8L unit and was surprised na medyo matigas din nga daw. I trust him so sabi ko hindi na ako magte-test drive... kung 1.8L matigas na, malamang normal na yan sa mga Elantra. Will just adjust and get use to it

    Korek.

I still make a point not go over 2,000 rpm.

Parang yung wife ko, hindi pa kabisado yung pedal, bigla accelarate 3,000 rpm (from stop) kasi nga matigas for her too hehe!

Also sa mga auto reviews, wala akong nabasa about the pedals. Or baka talagang maselan lang ako hehe! Di ko din kasi tinest-drive, I only read reviews. Oh well, nasasanay na din ako so ok na din

i think po, ang solution is to wear shoes na matigas ang sole at e apak mo yung front sole sa higher part ng pedal. wag po sa base.

question again mga bossing...nagpawarranty kasi ako ng elantra, ang first diagnosis nila, need palitan ang steering column and rack and pinion, but then nung pinakuha ko na yung sasakyan, ang sabi waiting ng EPS assembly, tapos hindi nakalagay sa job completed yung replacement ng rack and pinion at steering column...ang question ko po, kasama ba sa EPS assembly ang rack and pinion at steering column? thanks po ulit sa reply.

AFAIK magkakadugtong po yan sir yung rack and pinion at steering column tapos yung EPS yun yung nagpapagana dyan which is motorized sya..pakicorrect nalang po sa mga master..sa hydraulic-type kasi ang nakita ko sa pagpapaayos ko dati..

    Good Day mga sir,

Me and my eldest brother is choosing between new Vios, Civic and this 1.8 Elantra (all A/T variants), lahat nasubukan namin ma-test drive within the main roads, pagdating sa ride, halos same feeling sa comfortability driving si civic and elantra, napansin ko lang and my question is talaga po ba na medyo matigas ang Gas Pedal ni Elantra?

Thanks.

As of now, undecided within Civic or Elantra.

    Thanks and GodBless

    1. A relatively "hard" gas pedal isn't a safety feature.

    2. Nor can a relatively "hard" gas pedal be a con. A hard gas pedal can't be a good measure of "underpowered" or "good enough".

    3. FYI, Camrys are relatively soft, Mazda3s hard, and the Sonata's somewhere in medium.

Bottom line: Always test drive. So you know how your future car will handle like.

Nung brand new pa yun Sportage, Tucson at Santa Fe namin matigas din accelerator pedal.

Been driving mine for 2 months (1.6L a/t), nasanay na din ako. Nasanay na ako sa tamang timpla hehe! I was also choosing between Civic & Elantra (plus Lancer) and I never test drove them. Honestly, maybe if I test drove them and napansin ko yung matigas na pedal, I would have chosen the Civic. I'm used to it already, and that's all it matters :P

Mild Model Change (MMC) Hyundai Elantra unveiled today.

Subtle changes. Hyundai is really going towards Toyota's way of making just subtle changes instead of drastic ones.

2013 model year owners need not fret. ;)

Except for the fog lights/drls, it looks like the front is exactly the same as the I30 GD Active. Binaligtad alng yung swirl ng headlights

    Hi,

May ask lang ako regarding sa preno ni Elantra 1.8, is it normal po ba na medyo may tumutunog or parang nag uuntugan pag nag rerelease po ako ng break, specifically mas malakas yung tunog pag naka inclined ako then releasing the break. Anyone who experience this issue? TIA
