yes it does, but more space for fuel to linger means more evaporation, and the fuel reservoir have a breather and blow off valves if the pressure exceeds its limit. in this valves or breather is where your wasted gas will flow. and once ur fuel evaporated it will not condense again under normal circumstances. half tank is only advisable when going uphill. 20 litters of gas is not significant . its less than the weight of one passenger. it may be significant to those car that is under power. but for 1.6 and 1.8 . i think its not unless you race. and it is more significant to protect your tank against corrosion. and our fuel here are not so clean or certified that it is water free

ask lang ako regarding sa technical aspects ng elantra...

may AT dip-stick ba? 1.6AT ung display sa trinoma...di ako makakita ng AT dip stick!

    electronic throttle control ba--drive-by-wire ba?

may aircon-filter ba?--ung tipong di mo na kailangan baklasin ang evaporator kung needs cleaning?

wala ako makitang nakapost na real owner FC figure.... dont trust much sa 8-9km/L city na claimed ng SA dun...

    Yup. That's what they said.

Elantra's 1.8L "Nu" engine also uses maintenance free timing chain instead of a timing belt. Not sure if its good or bad.

I don't think all these are worth the price difference of 250K from the base GLS. Some of the items are even normally offered as freebies.

in most cases, kapag sinabing timing chain its maintenance free na talaga. pero siempre laging may exception. case in point,
nung nagpapa service ako nung Carens sa Kia Pasay. may nakita akong prev. gen Sorento (with the 2.5li CRDi) na pinapalitan yung timing chain.... nung tinanong ko kung bakit, sabi dahil maingay daw.... pero etong sa Elantra, since its gas engine prolly ok sya.

lahat naman ng chain driven is maintenance free, actually pag nag chain oil kasama na sya sa oil ng engine, but may wear and tear din sya, humahaba ang chain after sometime, regardless gas or diesel, actually mas mabilis pa nga mag wear ang gas kasi high speed ang engine. at mas halata ang ingay ng chain dahil tahimik yun engine. kaya sinabi na maintenance free is because hydraulic yun tensioner. meaning ang oil pump ang nag cocontrol ng tension sa chain para d umingay
