Kung ang basehan ay ang Explorer at Exped for sure turn off na agad ang buyer nun, sedan nalang ang pagusapan natin
Still Civic beats the current model ng focus kahit na siguro between TDI and 2.0L. What's my basis? Ang daming new current civic parin compare sa new current Focus na nabibili eh. Lets see sa parating na model ng Focus with new engine tech baka makaungos na sila (Ford) over sa lahat ng competitor in the same category

April 7th, 2011 06:34 PM #493head to head yan civic vs. elantra. medyo old news yung altis when these two come out. the focus would be a good alternative, but i doubt it would seriously challenge the top 3.
parang GMA-ABS-TV5 lang yan. panggulo sa market yung TV5, pero slowly nagkakadent na siya sa merkado.

You have to remember even Hyundai is not a player in the C segment previously and they are still not a player until this is officially sold in the dealers (not in a car show). Mas ok pa nga performance ng Focus than both the former Elantra and the i30 which were total flops...
Civic it will still sell reasonably just because of brand and name alone. But if will be underwhelming compared to the FD.Last edited by tidus1203; April 7th, 2011 at 06:40 PM.

April 7th, 2011 06:53 PM #497yup but the previous gen elantra and i30 didn't have marketing support as well as the backing of other successful models (tucson, accent). this is what hyundai will bank on when the elantra hits the showrooms. problema lang naman nila talaga (with all models) is the supply. i don't think the previous generation elantra was even actually officially launched.
if the focus is priced competitively, then i think it too would compete. however, it still doesn't enjoy the advantage that hyundai has when it launches the elantra. yung pre-launch anticipation/hype lang over all of its latest models (tucson/accent/elantra) is very strong. siyempre they will capitalize on it already.

The showcar is not an accurate representative of the actual units HARI will actually sell here.
Features in the show car that wont make the cut so far:
-sunroof
-start/stop ignition
-smart key
-leather seats
-auto climate control
-body color option: blue
The car was very nice but in terms of price to feature ratio, it is quite unwhelming (when say compared to the Accent, which was a game changer in its segment).
The roof/ceiling is quite low so tall drivers might have issues.
It is hard to see the front, in fact you dont get to see the tip of the hood anymore but just the end of the dashboard. I believe it could b challenging manuevering this in tight spots.
Large cavernous trunk. Said to be 4xx liters.Last edited by number001; April 7th, 2011 at 07:52 PM.

A 70/30 water to coolant mix may improve cooling efficiency but that's at the cost of less...
Coolant...
