yep.. tama sir.. radiator coolant, but hindi yong concentrate. Dapat may halo ring distilled or demineralized water, to prevent corrosion on the radiator system itself. But yong Preztone, may engine coolant sila na dretso mo nang ilagay sa radiator mo. Eh kasa may kamahalan, correct me if I am wrong pero i think nasa 2K per 4 Liters yata..

But newer cars, I don't think na mag-totop-up kapa ng tubig, I have a 2 year old car, and the reservoir content is still intact...

yung sa amin na 1.4 AT so far wala pa naman. kakadating lang two days ago kaya di pa masyado na test drive. long drive ko next weekend para magkaalaman na. hehe!

I just learned a cousin of mine will be getting an Accent 1.4 AT... I hope di siya ma-chambahan ng 'knock' unit.

Yung mga newly-released units me knocking issues parin ba?

how do you often put water in the radiator? kailangan b wilkins ang ilagay gaya ng payo ng mga honda dealers sa mga sasakyan nila?

Kung bago car mo wala ka ng worries sa top up ng radiator mo. Most new cars nowadays long life coolant na inilalagay, usually up to 5 years lifespan, others halos no need to replace na. Pero in emergency cases na you need to top up, wilkins or absolute lang talaga or any distilled water. Hindi pwede ang mineral water kasi the minerals could cause corrosion. Ako personally naka wilkins ever since, ang ginagawa ko mix 1 liter of coolant to a 6 liter wilkins container, tsaka ko nilalagay sa reservoir.

After months of using and not experiencing any problems, eto nangyari.
I thought I was spared from the common problem like engine knock pero eto ngangyari.
Ngayon, Im waiting for the towing truck tht will bring the unit to Global City.
My unit is 1.4 AT

could it be the infamous Fuel Pump Issue ng hyundai? It think rampant ang case na ito on Tucson iX Theta II... Engine Stalling + Check Engine Warning.

So far I haven't heard this engine knock yet. I even tried turning the radio off while driving just to check this. One thing is medyo mahina yung first gear going up-hill or parang nabibitin pero pag straight ok naman, ang lakas ng hatak. I was using shell unleaded before then i shifted to Petron XCS medyo gumanda hatak sa first gear kapag paakyat and mas tahimik engine.

Im hearing a "tik" or multiple 'tik tik tik" sound while slowly releasing the clutch coming from stops or pag mabagal takbo, even at reverse gear. Twice I brought this to Hyundai Lipa (may hinigpitan or inalis na plastic daw sa trans axle, not quite sure) pero bumabalik yung sound the next day. Ano po kaya ito at san ko kaya pwede dalhin na dealer na makaka solve ng problema? Thanks

It's the same problem with my unit sir. And the same explanation din. They remove something like a plastic spacer, then hinigpitan din on the velocity - transaxle system.

So far sa unit ko, I run a good 600KM w/o any problems at all. At first I have second thoughts of putting back my stock mags before I will bring the car to CASA, but I decided to give it a go. And I don't have any warranty naman claiming warranty. And I never shelled out a single penny on the repairs. Eh kaso, 2 days nila trinabaho yong unit...

Had the same tik sound during my break-in period, brought the unit 2x sa CASA since at that time they where still figuring out the problem ala pa daw reported case similar to mine (this was last june). Hinigpitan lang nila yung velocity joint.

Under warranty naman yan, kaya ibalik mo lang sa casa sir keck...

Hello everyone! im a newbie here. I have few questions regarding hyundai accent 2011 1.4 m/t. Im planning to buy a car and accent is my first choice. Yung mga friends ko dinidiscourage nila ko bumili ng hyundai accent dahil:
1. Panget ang performance
2. Manipis ang kaha
3. Korean made so asahan na di talaga maganda

They want me to buy Honda City instead. But confused pa rin ako dahil marami nagsasabi pa rin na maganda ang hyundai at matipid sa gas. So when I checked the availability of Honda City wala na daw pala dahil sa flood sa thailand. Early next yer pa. So napapaisip na naman ako kung talagang Accent na lang since walang city. One more thing Ive read this thread, iniisip ko baka maexperience ko rin ang ibang problems ng accent.

Any comments or suggestions? Im planning to get 1.4 M/T.

1. Hindi magkalayo ang performance ng honda at hyundai base sa experience ko.
2. Mas manipis ang kaha ng Honda City, subukan mo diinan ang driver side door. Alam ko kasi meron 2009 1.5E city si misis, actually di ko gusto bilhin kaso yon ang gusto nya so..ayon nabili pa rin.
3. Napag-iwanan na ng panahon ang nagsasabi na kasi Korean so hindi maganda . My 1st gen Tucson is still growing strong after 4 years in service, hataw pa madalas ang takbo.

FYI: hyundai ay may sariling fabrika ng bakal at sheet metal. Ang gamit nila sa sasakyan ngayon ay high strength steel, manipis pero mas matibay na sadyang engineered for car application. eh ang honda saan kumukuha ng metal para sa kotse nila??

Only my personal opinion po, di po ako nakikipa-away.

Mukha ngang anti-hyundai. Yung friend ko na kakabili lang ng Honda City, naconvinced lang sya sa isang car forum. Humingi sya ng opinions sa mga members plus she bought topgear june 2011 issue. May article na accent vs city. Yun city na binili nya.

Yeah. Never pa kasi sila nagka hyundai. Toyota and Honda lang.

ahh.. kaya pala ganoon ang sabi sa yo kasi 2 brand lang ang kilala nila. Lahat ng sasakyan may kanya kanyang defect, walang perfect na sasakyan lalo na sa low end model. Ang importante mas lamang ang good keysa bad. Eh yung kakilala ko nga german national may reklamo sa audi car nya how much more sa lesser brand..
