I forgot sino suggested na magshift lang sa mababang rev para hindi magsuffer FC, I tried that approach most of the time kaya siguro nakakaachieve ako ng ganun. Saka pag dumadaan ako ng SLEX hindi na gaano chaotic ang traffic - moving naman kahit papano so FC is only slightly compromised.
Ang medyo humihila lang sakin papunta sa 11+L/100km (roughly 9+km/L) is pag patong ko sa skyway - I can't resist shifting at 4-5K rpm
Theoretically kung sobrang conservative ka talaga you can push FC as low as you can (8L/100km or roughly 12+km/L)
Pero para sakin there is ideal and there is efficient: considering city/traffic/urban driving, ideal FC is for me is 12+ km/L (8L/100km sa onboard reading) pero, baka kailangang sobrang conservative na paggamit ko ng sasakyan ko na nun. For me, my definition of "efficient" is my personal 10/100km rule of thumb: gives me allowance for those open highway roads (skyway, coastal, C5 pag hindi traffic hahaha!!), allowing me to enjoy the drive and power of the vehicle) pero to cancel out the suffering of my FC during those moments, pag traffic I'll opt for the 2-3k rpm shifting - anyways traffic naman eh, same pace ka rin naman darating sa destination mo kahit gaano kabigat tapak mo sa gas pag traffic.

in short, a/t mode ako pag 1-2nd gears or pag start stop traffic, then my m/t tendencies take over pag 3rd or higher gears or moving traffic or birit pag dinemonyo

March 16th, 2010 07:35 PM #27bale tanggapin nyo na yan na 6-6.5km/liter that's AT right? my m/t crv 2.0 averages 7-7.5km/liter. my friend's rav4 average 6-6.5km/liter AT and another friend's escape average 5.5-6km/liter.

ako nag manual mode lang ako kung gusto ko humataw or mag overtake which is very effective talaga... most of the time naka full auto ako... just limit your RPM to less than 2k lalo na coming from fullstop..
