this noon nagkaroon talaga chance na magkatabi yong GC ko at yong latest camaro (yellow) dito sa amin though i did not park beside it, i leave one-car space in between.
as usual, there are lots of people getting pictures of the two cars but my GC got the most of the pictures taken. though both cars doesn't have tints, it's on my GC that they peek to see how it looks inside. they maybe thinking and wondering how hyundai was able to make a very nice car![]()

I'll drop by every now and then and will definitely post pics once i get my unit and finish picture taking sessions.. supposedly i could get the unit by Monday, but elections got in the way.. darn! hehe.. anyways, ill keep you posted.

Curious lang GC owners. Hindi po ba masyadong masikip yung seats sa likod? Parang ang liit kasi ng space judging from pics hehe
I'm torn between this Genesis Coupe and a second-hand Porsche Boxster (being sold to me at 1.5M). I mean, Porsche is a Porsche, pero medyo 1998 model pa sya, and although features-wise ok sya dahil syempre this German brand is always ahead of the Japanese/Korean when it comes to tech, it comes down to being more than 10 years old yung car.
Guys, I know this is the Genesis Coupe thread, but can you cite what you think would be the pros of getting the GC instead (apart from being brand new, which is the obvious part).
Thanks, and congrats to all the lucky GC owners here.

I think its up to your preference/s, but if you decide to use the car more often then i would point out 1 very distinct advantage the GC has over the boxster : Gas mileage. Even if your opting for the higher 3.8 variant rather than the 2.0t i doubt the boxster can keep up with its fuel economy, for the GC being a new model and well for the Boxster to be..well, a Porsche. I have nothing against Porsche really, but i doubt they were ever concerned of how much gas mileage their luxurious cars normally consumed.
*kiddserv: Thanks for the reply. I'd like to point out that the Boxster I'm considering is just the 2.5L variant, not the higher-end "S" model. In fact, it's only something like 200hp rated, so it won't keep up with a 300hp GC in terms of speed.
*renzo: The Boxster was imported with complete papers and all-tax-paid, kaya medyo mahal pa rin considering its age. I'll ask the owner how much ang maintenance nya, plus mag-i-inquire din ako syempre sa PGA Cars if they can maintain such older model and if it's gonna cost me an arm and a leg. :D
But so far based on the 2 answers above, I see a clear point about possible issues with (1) fuel consumption and (2) maintenance. Two things which are apparently not much of an issue with the GC, at least for such a sports coupe.
Between an old old Boxter vs a brand new GC, if it was my money, I will surely go with the GC due to the long 5-year warranty.
However, I haven't tested Hyundai Philippines' service as I've never had any major service requirement yet so its difficult to say if they will deliver. I sometimes wonder if they can provide spare parts fast even if the GC is not their volume seller.
