January 4th, 2012 01:49 PM #3701Thanks for the reply guys.
Im looking at 2.0T A/T.
My route would be Marikina, C5, Ortigas, Edsa, Rockwell, Makati Ave and Leviste.
I can imagine that hard clutch, Nag test drive ako ng Subaru Impreza WRX 2 years ago yun kaagad ang napansin ko, hard clutch.
I am hoping that you guys could elaborate on the cost of service and parts? FC medyo tanggap ko na kasi naka Accent A/T ako ngayun and registering 15liters/100km.
And then may padating na bagong model! tsk tsk

Service, labor same lang as a normal hyundai. So mura. Expect lang to pay more for oil because of a bigger engine and they recommend fully synthetic.

Biggest advantage of having an HGC -- it's really a looker. Even now that it's been in the country for two years already, people still tend to take a second look whenever they spot the car. In the parking area, some people still tend to look it over. And the security guards in subdivisions always treat the driver with extra respect!
As already stated, preventive maintenance cost is quite reasonable. Cheaper than a Civic or a City. More so if you bring your own oil. But the consumable parts are something else. I don't know about the other models but for those with Brembos, the brake pads alone cost 34k. But you can always buy better quality pads from the US. I got my Hawk HPS for only around 6k and my EBC Reds for 7k.
Since you're getting the A/T, I assume you have no intentions of modding up the car. In that case, why not take a look at the 3.8? You can have it for just a little more on top of the 2.0 A/T.
But it you intend to tune it later, get the 2.0T M/T. That is a tuner's dream car. Slap on a new turbo for a little over 120k and you can easily outrun a 3.8.

It comes with owning a GC. You have to live with that. Pero its a small price to pay for driving a great car. Ako i don't mind. Its an experience lalo na pag first time mo ma encounter. hahahaha! Hindi naman pang point A to point B ang GC hindi nya territory ang masikip na parking and bumper to bumper traffic.
Yun inside rear tire lift. (Umangat yun isang gulong sa likod. RWD eh so mahihirapan na umandar) Depende sa degree of steepness and approach angle yan. I have no problem with resorts world's building parking same rin with eastwood. masikip at matarik din yun. Pero nahihirapan ako pumasok sa parking entrance ng home depot in julia vargas.

For the price of the 2.0T A/T, I suggest you to get the 3.8 V6 nalang. Konti lang naman difference niyan sa FC.
Surprisingly, the 3.8 V6 Genesis Coupe is more economical than the 2.4L Tucson 4WD.

^^^just do a wider turn than normal. para both rear wheels are planted when you approach the ramp. If hindi kaya talaga just look for a different parking or bring a different car na lang kung alam mo na alanganin ang pupuntahan mo.
