    Good feedback on the SFR reflash aside, I think both has its pros and cons to each person. For me, I like the reflash because it is direct modification of the ECU but the only support is non-local so modding would be constrained. The CMD is a piggyback (which means you also need to install the harness and intercept sensors) but have local support so modding is more flexible. I'm sure others look at other particulars of each solution.

    Good point, PHFalcon.

    I was merely thinking that a reflash wouldn't make for a good first (or early) modification given how many of us don't exactly know how far we want to go about tuning our cars. Let's take an average modded GC for example, picture one that has a CAI and upgraded exhaust system while keeping everything stock. That's as far as many of us would go considering how new our cars are.

    The sad thing here is that while the necessary air/fuel adjustments needed to maximize the 2 mods are taken care of by the reflash, the same is easily handled by a completely stock ECU. In my opinion, this reduces the reflash to a mere "boost controller" until such time that you can actually make good use of it. Problem is, when that time comes, would you still go the same route?
