H3 was meant to compete with the other luxury SUVs currently in the market today like the Cayenne, Lexus RX, BMW X5, etc....the common denominator for the mentioned cars were it's size, the H2 was very popular among athletes, showbiz personalities but these are just a fraction of the market and that the European market where most luxury vehicles thrive in terms of sales have small roads, so GM had to adapt to these things and came up with the H3.

There is no really comparisson between the Hummer siblings because they have a class of their own.

I'd love to have one in the Philippines it's not a gas guzzler, thanks to it's Vortec 3500 3.5L engine = 220 HP * 5600 rpm

Actually, the new Hummer H3 off-roader is targeted at the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
    2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The Porsche Cayenne, Lexus RX330, BMW X5, are Sporty (and luxurious) road oriented cross-over SUVs. GM's contender in this segment is the Cadillac SRX.

So Hummer Philippines Inc stopped being distributors of Hummers in 1997?

I guess that means the gray market dealers are the only Hummer dealers now...

Actually, our Chevy TrailBlazer is the one going up against the '06 Grand Cherokee...

and the Cadillac SRX, a mid-size luxury vehicle, well it's more of a luxury family car ala-mum's car....

........and with what yu've just mentioned "Sporty (and luxurious) road oriented cross-over SUVs" = H3

I know "off-roader" is not part of the name, I used it as a description.

Cadillac SRX is the one that competes with the Lexus RX, BMW X5, Acura MDX, Lincoln Aviator, VW Touareg/Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes ML, Infiniti FX etc.

The Difference with GM is they make more SUVs to fill every little segment, while Jeeps have dual roles.

and the Cadillac SRX, a mid-size luxury vehicle, well it's more of a luxury family car
    Just like most cross-over SUVs...

I'll get back to you soon... Cheers!
