Wahahaha...
No... but seriously, I'm not into "ownage"...

I know a lot of people who go to the US to work as nurses. Heck, my company specializes in making them and sending them there.
I know of some guys who're pretty well off from working as nurses, but the amount you can save from working as a nurse in the US isn't going to support a "pimping" lifestyle in the Philippines.
Even there, a nursing supervisor makes just about enough to afford a to buy and maintain a mid-price CUV (at US prices), and we're talking a guy with 10 years experience.
A Cadillace Escalade, brand new, would cost you somewhere between 4.5 to 5 million to bring in (this is a long while back), while a brand new Hummer H2 here costs around the same. Whatever you save in the US is gone... snap. It takes a thriving business here in the philippines to support such purchases.
That's why some OFWs aren't very well-off when they get back here... they overestimate the worth of their savings and buy beyond their means the first few years, then they have to live like misers for the rest of their lives.
There are probably better things to do with your money when you finally come back here. Invest in condos, real estate, whatever. When you're fifty and (maybe) a multi-millionaire, then you can go ahead and buy that H2. Or maybe not.
