got it serviced, it took them more than 3 hours, i had to leave the car sa dealer - hindi natapos e.
here's what i found out
-the 1.5 city/jazz has 4 lost motion springs that needs to be replaced, its about 30mm tall and almost the same circumference as a 25 centavo coin.
-the replacement kit includes all 4 springs and o-rings for the throtle body/manifold.

i have to agree mas maganda wag kang guinea pig, however may good points din being first - parts availability and basing it on the experience, the mechanic followed the service manual to the tooth, wala pa syang shortcut.

just my 2 cents :D
so right now observe mode na.

Yup,- parts availability is a concern. However, only Honda knows their supply here....

That is why my friends had theirs scheduled Monday next week....,

contacted Honda Laguna last Tuesday(feb 22) and got a March 7 schedule.

motion springs and retainers of my Jazz were replaced this morning. Nagkataon 40km checkup ko today and my SA explained the coverage of the recall and i agreed na isabay na sa PM. almost 6 hours din ang inabot. ako ang una na nagpagawa sa honda dasmarinas... guinea pig he he he

Tama na dapat isabay niyo other things na ipapa-check niyo. Malay niyo libre na since medyo napahiya din sila.

Nagawaan ng paraan, naisingit sa schedule ang amin yesterday. Kakukuha ko lang ng city from service this morning. One thing I observed, the engine run more smooth than before. Don't know if only psychological pero parang mas responsive ang makina at tahimik ngayon.

Malamang nga ay may improvement sa NVH and smoothness ng engine since dun naman yung inayos eh. Buti ok na sa inyo. Suwerte at maaga nagawa. Kesa lumala pa diba.

Schedule ko mid April pa. Ok lang no rush, car is running fine naman.

Apology, it should be Saturday... So far wala naman akong na encounter na problema after the replacement. Sabi naman kc ng SA ko na nagtraining na sila sa planta and they have stock of of the parts to be replaced based on the number of units na nabenta nila na kasama sa recall. thanks

I agree. If I were a 1.5L 09 City/Jazz owner, I'd probably wait a week to make sure that the Maintenance crew have already kicked all the kinks in the replacement job.... Mahirap nga ang guinea pig...

Dapat lahat ng recall may libreng IPAD.... Lekat abala ginawa nila saka recall pa sa makina hindi pa natagal yung pag ka brand new ng kotse ko eh binuksan na valve cover.. Hay naku nasan na pag prestige niyo,,, napunta na sa kangkungan.. Susunod na kayo sa Toyota....VTEC naging BUWISET! :boo::boo::boo::boo::boo:

Agree here. Walang bayad ang abala (time=money) sa mga customers....

Tignan mo na lang sa bright side bro. At least, worry-free driving ka by "re-investing" a few hours of your time sa recall.....

My Jazz 1.5 was serviced at Honda Dasmarinas Cavite last 23 Feb. The job took 6hrs. So far so good...
