Tanong ko po sa mga expert sa automatic cars baka pwedeng huming ng tips,
eto po yung mga tanong ko;
pag trafic ba necessary ba na mag neutral?
kailan po ba ginagamit yung gear na S?
salamat.

based on the previous threads here, suggest nila is mag neutral ka lalu na sa mga stop light. coming from manual (at least for me) di na siya ganun ka hirap gawin. kaya ngayun pag alam ko na medyo matagal pa bago umusad yung car sa front ko neutral muna then handbrake.
it's not really necessary na ilagay sa neutral. pag light traffic, lagay mo sa "D". pag heavy traffic at nakahinto ka palagi, might as well shift to "P" so you don't have to step on the brakes.
"S" i think is for "second", usually used in adverse road conditions or uphill. it could also be S" and "M" (or - and +)...gamit nila sa manumatic cars.
im driving a honda city po (cvt)
i use N pag sa mga stop lights (+ hand brake if necessary). i would not recommend shifting to P on short stops... kase it might confuse you. actually you cannot simply slide to P unless you step on the brake.. same thing if you would like to go from P to D. The thing is...there might be some occassions when you might slide it to R instead of D (hehekawawa ang nakatutok sa likod mo)
S (stands for semi automatic yta.. or sa iba.. Sports mode)
as for my city.. I only shift to S (+ 7 speed option) pag nasa highway. Not so good actually in any stop & go traffic situation. S mode is very usefull lalo na sa overtaking.![]()
put N pag nasa traffic lalo na pag heavy traffic. my practice, overdrive naka-off pag city driving. pag maluwag ang kalsada or nasa highway, tsaka ko lang pinipindot ang overdrive
thanks sa mga reply.
so mas maganda siguro kung sa N +handbreak, kasi i'm from cavite at everyday meron 30 minutes counterflow trafic.
What about ung + - sa manibela ng 2009 city saan naman giangamit yun?
thanks
The "S" is second gear. You will select S when you need more engine power like trying to quickly overtake a slow moving car on the road. This will be more responsive than simply flooring the gas pedal while in "D". Its also used when you might be going down a steep road (engine brake).
The -/+ you are refering to might be the paddle shifts located directly behind the steering wheel. This lets the driver shift a gear up or down without removing his hands from the wheel. On a car like the City, it's just a toy and/or convenience option than anything else. Handy when needing downshift to overtake but not really used much after the novelty of it has worn off.

iba iba rin talaga set up ng mga A/T ngayon... ung isa namin ganito lang itsura...
at ganito ang display kapag nasa Park - "P" yung lever.
aside from P ay R, N, & D lang ang choices at alang S or D3,2, 1...
maybe it's because of the manumatic? i guess...
while the other one eh meron D3, 2, 1... which i believe ay for uphill driving; the lower the selection the lower range of gear/s it shifts through...
sensya na sa pics at bukod sa hindi pa nalilinisan ung car ay cel cam lang ang gamit![]()
