From what i see up for sale, mahal ang pagbenta ng converted na Fit. Likewise, you stated you have a limited budget for the car so you should also consider the additional possible repair expenses to the car given its a converted vehicle.
Take your time and look for a good, local second hand vehicle that fits your budget and set aside another 20K to 30K for possible repairs.

basta maayos ang pili ng unit, an import fit won't give you problems any different from a local unit.
i see lots of negative "don't buy imported fits!" here and at HCP. sometimes i think that they own a local jazz at ayaw nila bumaba resale value. gusto nila yung '00 model jazz nila pag binenta nila 550K pa din (compared to imports, which cost about 250-350 lang). parang yung mga pajero nun... dami nagsabi na panget, pero andami pa din bumili, at andami pa tumatakbo sa daan ngayon. mas marami pa nga 96 body pajero na import kesa local ang nakikita ko sa daan ngayon.
or, bibili ka local na artificially high ang presyo (the fit is an econobox, nothing special about it) pero flooded naman. in one year putuk lahat ng IC sa ECU mo bili ka sa casa 5 digits din yan.
basta, choose carefully the unit you want to buy. pa-angat mo sa gas station kung pwede, and inspect the undercarriage for shoddy welding (dapat wala na welding, local powersteering kits na gamit dito eh), mis-aligned joints, or uneven tyre wear.
personally, i recommend the fit AWD. wala dito nyan, and i'm sure matibay ito. honda isn't known for drivetrain defects, apart from defective trannies in the 96-98 civics here at accord sa US.
A 70/30 water to coolant mix may improve cooling efficiency but that's at the cost of less...
Coolant...
