If all-stock ang engine mo paps, especially a Honda SOHC, wag ka magpa-scav (unless talagang ingay at porma lang habol mo).
Napaka-evident ng low power sa low-end torque rpm ng Honda SOHCs (based on experience sa SOHC VTEC), kahit siguro 1600cc pa yan.
If magpa-scav ka ng wala naman ibubuga* yung makina (read: all stock), mawawalan ka ng hatak for daily driving like they said, especially sa uphills. I assume walang VTEC yung engine mo sir and if meron man (all stock ng EK VTi) eh VTEC-E ang nakalagay jan, which means wala kang effective power sa high rpm ("duluhan", as the drag racers would call it).
*Re "walang ibubuga" (please pardon the term, just quoting one of my tuning mechanics as he said it), I mean walang performance parts yung engine, mapa-bolt on (intake and header) or internals.
If you really want to go scav, at least unahin mo muna to get a 4-1 performance header (exhaust manifold), short-ram intake and an adjustable camgear (have it tuned for optimum ignition timing pang-duluhan). As much as possible, get a 24" downpipe.
