i am amused at how jick does it over there, and how we do it over here.

not a critique. just an observation.

Expect if Honda replaces the part the replacement will most likely get surface rust again since it is bare metal.
Thanks sa recommendation sir. Magdalawang isip siguro ako kung offer-an ako ng replacement sa part/s na may rust. Pero kung whole car, pwede na! :D

its just surface rust.. same thing happens when your disc brakes get wet from the car wash!

iba yan dun sa "bulok" sa kalawang.. hindi yan magiging dahilan para masira yun structural integrity ng sasakyan mo..

Wow, bait mo naman doc. I'll buy you 1 box of salonpas. Hehe.

I think disaasembly of the dash (I might be wrong) will be needed kasi yung ibang parts na may kalawang, medyo nasa pinaka loob na area. Kaya napapadalawang isip ako ipagawa sa casa.

stay away from WD-40.. lalo lang kakalawangin yan.. i only use that as a "penetrating oil" to loosen nuts and bolts and clean them off after and use the applicable grease or oil on installation.

waste of time imho.. plus dismantling the dash will only result to unwanted creaks and rattles.. just leave it as it is as there is no intervention necessary or if you really want just brush small amount of grease. what you need to check is if you have body rust especially underneath the running board.

    whoa!
when i said "I'd", i was speaking for you. it meant, you do it yourself!
    heh heh.

don't dis-assemble it. just do the best your fingers can get at.

i can do it, but at doctor's fees.
    deal?

yes, the structure will still be there after 10 years.
but you and i will know.
and i can't just let it so.
    "professional pride."
