    mga paps nagpakabit ako chambered muffler sa honda lxi 98 ko. stock lang lahat yun. maayos naman yung tunog. pero may nakapagsabi saken na kapag tinanggal ko daw yung resonator at ginawang straight pipe, mas magiging buo daw yung tunog ng muffler. totoo ba yun? wala bang complications yun sa performance nung kotse? gusto ko lang malaman kung good idea yung pagtanggal ng resonator. salamat mga paps..

    konting tulong naman mga paps...ask ko lang yung case ko. 98 civic lxi auto ko. kinabitan ko ng fujitsubo legalis na chambered muffler. after ikabit napansin ko na lumakas yung hatak. pero medyo gusto ko pa palakasin yung tunog. may nagsabi saken na patanggal ko daw yung resonator na katapat ng handbrake. yun yung mataba. dalawa kasi yun sabi nung nagtatanggal. may isa pa na mas manipis nauuna dun sa mataba. ang tinanggal ko yung mataba pinalitan lang ng pipe. lumakas yung muffler. ganda nga ng tunog actually e. pero napansin kong nawala yung hatak na na-gain ko before tanggalin yung reso. parang bumalik sa stock yung hatak lalo na pag uphill ang takbo. im planning to re-install my resonator. or kung ipatanggal ko nalang yung isa pang resonator? ano magiging effect nun? or ipabalik ko yung matabang reso at patanggal ko yung maliit na reso? ano naman effect nun? suggestions naman mga sir kasi ang gastos ng trial and error at putol ng putol ng pipes e. salamat and more power to you guys..

    Yup! By removing the resonator you slightly reduce the backpressure in the exhaust system, remove about 25lbs of weight from the car and make the exhaust sound quite a bit better.

    First the sound...What you will notice will be an increase in the overall sound level of the exhaust by maybe 20% over stock at idle and while cruising so pretty minimal if even noticeable unless you know what it should sound like.

    Secondly the performance gain...the slight reduction in back pressure seems to improve the bottom end coming off the line just a bit.

    Make sure you use a good shop for this or you will have a disaster. They must understand performance and be will to remove the rear exhaust section to properly weld and fabricate the new system. Also, all connections to the stock exhaust system must be made over the outside of the pipes to prevent any restriction of the factory system.

    i wouldn't recommend it...
    i remember dun sa friends car.
    the car was unbearably loud on long drive to
    batangas... the booming sound was really irritating.

    pero kung kaya ng tenga me. dun ka kung saan ka masaya.

    ewan lang ah.. kasi ung reso, nakaka tulong sa torque ng engine eh.. lalo na kapag normal driving.. kaya lang naman nagpapa straight pipe kasi para sa mga high rev engine.. kasi masama ang back pressure.. kung stock lang oto, wag mong tanggalin ung reso, much better kung papalitan mo ung reso mo ng mas maganda.. at sa exhaust, hindi ibig sabihin ng mas malaking size ng tubo, mas maganda.. depende un sa engine mo..
