You can do a search for that.

5W-30 and 10W-30 are viscosity ratings...that should get you started.

    Mas malabnaw ang 5w30,
5w-thickness during cold weather, ewan ko lang kung meron 0w hehehe. if meron, dont think applicable dito yun..
30-thickness during hot or operating periods.

Just don't use those 20w50 mineral types or even the 15w40. They are a bit thicker in viscosity. Something like the mineral 10w30 or semi-synthetic 5w40/10w40 oils will be fine. For newer Honda engines (2006-onwards), it is better to stick with FS 5w40 or that FS 0w20 being used in the casa.

What brand of oil and viscosity is recommended for Honda Civic 2015? my aunt lost her owner's manual so I don't have any reference; likewise, what brand of spark plugs would be good. Finally does any of you know a good auto supply for Honda here in Paranaque?

Singit lang. Since I do also work for Lubricants OEM honda oils even in their CVT(transmissions fluid) is IDEMITSU LUBRICANTS. A japanese brand that not too many have known. Even the OEM power steering fluid honda used is IDEMITSU. With its seal compatibility, fluid resulting to leak when you used or replaced them with other ps fluid. That's how good this oil. Kaya ung mga honda oils nyo na nabibili sa casa it's actually the IDEMITSU. Syempre mejo mahal pag sa casa kyo bumili ng oil, when you can avail these oils outside with much cheaper prices.

This oil has been the OEM oil of honda for many years.

Been using idemitsu for my 17 year old CRV since after casa. The best! Maybe that's why it survived 17 years hehe

Btw in japan, idemitsu is a service center like goodyear servitek or rapide. Lakad kayo sa roponggi district, makikita nyo. They even service those cute little suzukis that Jap girls drive. Meaning they put idemitsu oil on suzuki too hehe

Honda now uses an even lighter oil for their small displacement engines. They have been using this 0w20 "Green" oil for a few years now. The color of the oil is almost like cooking oil. Tried it on the City and Jazz and it does improve fuel efficiency, even better than the old VTEC LEV 5w40.

Not just smaller displacement. Its used on all of their vehicles to get the most mileage. My uncle uses this 0w20 on his two honda pilots.

The factory fill for honda cars is 0w20.

I wonder if the same oil is used for the new turbo Civic. If it is recommended for turbo applications, it can be used for the 1.0L Ecoboost engine. The 1.0L Ecoboost engine requires 5w20 oil but local Ford dealerships don't have them and only use the 5w30 (Shell Ultra) as replacement.
