mga sir, quick question lang. Im using 96 honda civic lxi. Napansin ko kasi ang lakas sa gas. FC ko is 6 only.pag medyo sinuwerte, 7. Pag long drive 10. Light footed naman ako. In fact ang rpm ko does not go beyond 2k as much as possible. About a month ago, change oil naman. Also, palyado ung makina about a month ago din so pinalitan ko hi-ten wire ko. Tnx in advance mga sir.

Well for starters wala ba kayo bagahe na pwede alisin sa kotse?

You could try checking the following:

    -wheel alignment (toe, chamber, etc)
-wheel bearings (are they in need of repacking or replacing?)
-brakes (are the pads rubbing the brake rotors?)
-engine accesories (are the A/C compressor and alternator easy to turn or getting too stiff? Their bearings might start to wear out, adding to the load of the engine.)
-engine cylinder compression test (there might be a cylinder leak which might cause the engine to produce less power and consume more fuel as well)
-exhaust system (a hole in the exhaust system can cause less power and increased FC)

Also check the sensors. A couple of busted sensors on my friend's SiR made car use up more gas. After replacing it, he claimed that the car's fuel mileage improved by at least 1km/L.

Assume the alternator normally takes 5hp to turn. The broken bearing on the alternator makes it harder to turn, now requiring 10hp for it to turn. That additional 5hp requires the engine to use more fuel because of the resistance against turning.
