    Anong part ba yung nasira?

My personal take on this is that if it's a noncritical part, then paayos nalang kesa mahassle. If it's a critical piece, then that's something different entirely.

Still, I agree that this shouldn't happen to brand new cars here regardless of the brand. Where's the lemon law kasi :/

same w/ sir speed, dapat papalitan mo na lang.. as what you've said.. kaya nga bago ang bibilhin natin para no hassle for the next 3-5yrs. better pa siguro if ibang make/model na lang binili mo. go sir, papalitan mo...

Just because you buy brand new doesn't mean it won't have any problems that's why they have warranties. The car companies still use people to manufacture cars so you will always have the human factor in the manufacturing process. If they fixed it did the problem come back if not then it's fixed, if it's not fixed bring it back until everything is fixed. Once you signed the paper work that car lost value and became your property so the dealership is under no obligation to replace it. You can go to DTI and you will most likely just be frustrated as another Honda owner found out when they kept trying to get a car replaced and it never happened. Remember just because it's new and a Honda or Toyota doesn't mean it will not have any defects because all cars come out of the factory with some defect whether minor or major.

    Need more info:

    1. When does the vibration happen? Can it be replicated? How?
    2. What part was replaced? Was it fixed afterwards?

It's likely just the A/C compressor cycling on and off.

hi everyone! this is samnikki... thanks sa lahat ng nag post i really appreciate every word... here's an update to my problem and perhaps more detailed...

8 days ago i bought brand new civic 1.8S A/T, they release the unit around 5pm, then went home

Day 1, AM : we noticed that there's a shaking effect in the car, some call it palyado so we immediately go to our dealer and have them check the unit, they said observe it further dahil nung time n dinala nmin sa casa un car hindi siya nagshashake, normal... so hindi nila nkita yung problem

DAY 2 , AM: its ok i thought so late PM ayun nnman

DAY 3: ...ayun nanaman, nagshashake, feeling n yung car ay parang cellphone na nagvivibrate... so dinala ulit namin sa casa, yung nagreceive nung car and 2 other mechanic experienced our problem, so immediately they replace coil daw at spark plug, mind you nireplace nla without single word from us, na sir.. we have to do this, do that.. basta ginawa nla..
then they said.. ok na sir... so umalis na kami...

DAY 4-5: AM... the problems back again... upset already.. went back to casa, talk to branch manager, he asked his men to do thorough check up on the car... iniwan ang car sa casa ...

DAY 6:AM to pick the car. branch manager: ang sabi daw ng computer walang problema ang unit... sabi ko bkit ako babalik dito kung wala, test drive nla... wala daw problem... so what they do... nireset daw ang ecu... tapos they gave me a guarantee n nd n babalik yung problem... i was already asking n ireplace nla.. since wala p nga 300km tinatakbo ng car. pero ang sabi dealer lang daw sila ang dapat daw magpasya yung planta... heck... ano proteksyon ng consumer...

DAY 7: with high hopes na hindi n babalik... but it did!
so habang naexperience namin yung problem tumawag n ko sa manager para papuntahan ang unit kahit nasa gitna kmi ng daan, tinabi lang nmin kasi we fear na kapag dinala ulit nmin sa casa mwala ulit... lucky i have my video with me... video ko..pumunta ang mga mechanic nya at nkita nila, video din nila... so they did a lot of test nanaman daw khit yung gasoline check, ok. tpos tiningnan nla sa computer wala daw problem.. pero ayun ang unit kitang kita nila na may prob.. pati sila puzzled.. at yung car ko.. parang nasa operating room at nkapaligid lahat ng technician.. trying to dissect everything.. palit dito palit dun, trial and error... HORROR brand new 7 days old, ganun ang problem... hindi nla madetect... sabi ko they have to replace the unit... bkit ganyan... malaki abala for me... esp araw2 na lang ako nandun...isa pa ang binili ko bnew.. i shouldnt experience that!

TODAY DAY 8: may pupunta daw na taga honda phils to check...
    gusto ko palitan na nila...

please help me... what must I do...

Write the broadsheets like Inquirer or Star. Tell them the public will know about your situation.

    Ask TV outfits too.

Tama ka, it should be replaced. Civic is a wonderful car but sadly, no production process is perfect, lagi talaga may margin of rejects/errors/defects. You got part of that small margin.

Send them a demand letter. Two copies. Make sure they sign that they've received it, keep that signed/stamped one with you.

Wait for the guy at Honda Phils. He may have the power to decide whether to replace your car or not. Just be a bit more patient, I guess. New or old car, they ef' up sometimes as pointed out a few posts up. There are thousands of parts in there that can go wrong (Murphy's Law)... and most, if not all, were probably made by the lowest bidder :D.

While you're waiting for a decision from Honda Phil., you could maybe answer the questions I posted above.

Additionally, inspect the side engine mount if the bump stop gap is too close to each other. This is one source of the vibration for earlier FDs.

Here are pics of the side engine mount. Notice the gap between the bump stops on the before and after pics. Needless to say, while the engine is running the side engine mount isolates the engine vibration from the body, like a mini shock absorber. When the gap is too close or is touching each other, the engine vibration will be transmitted to the body and felt inside the cabin.

This mount supports much of the engine's weight so it's no surprise that they eventually sag. But as mentioned, earlier FDs had defective mounts that sagged in less than a year (or in some cases, out of the factory). These were eventually replaced by an improved version of the part under warranty.

ang burden kc ng pagkakamali nila napapasa sa tin n mga consumer... bumibili lang naman tayo and in good faith maganda yung product ... tpos kapag hindi pala.. ayaw nila ipabalik.. kahit nga sa mall kapag may defect pinapalitan... eh ito hindi naman candy lang.. its hard earned money.

Samnikki2, hope that they find the problem, or that for some reason the plant will shoulder taking the defective unit and replacing it with a brand new one.

Else, as much as you could, try to document all their visits and inspections of your unit. Video what you could, so worst case, if you really have to go to media to bulge the giant that Honda is to replace your unit, if indeed it's turning out to be a lemon, then you have proofs of continued attempts to fix without any success.

grabe, this is a bad ass burden, yung mga hindi na niya dapat problemahin eh pinoproblema pa niya.
