hi hondabot, it is a noob question. I have a 2012 Honda City. It more than a year since I bought it but why it is just now that after the door was locked by the key fob, I see the Security Alarm red light blinking? What trigger this red light blinking? I tried unlock and lock by the key fob many time, and still blinks. Thanks in advance.

Hi Sir Hondabot, and other ka-tsikot,

Have some questions and requests. Can anyone recommend where I should have the following fixed for my Honda Civic FD 1.8S 2007, as diagnosed by Honda CASA:

    1. A/C Clutch
    2. Wheel Bearing
    3. Shocks (Front Left & Right)

Need alternative as medyo masakit sa bulsa if casa all the way.

From Sir Hondabot's suggestion, my choices would be to visit, Alvin. Also read in some other thread that Fixstop is another option.

    Some questions po:

    1. A/C Clutch - may replacement parts na po ba available locally (will try to call Fertes)? or surplus parts(will try to visit Kaizen)? or no choice kundi casa talaga?
    2. Wheel Bearing - sabi NTN, is a good replacement, others said Koyo or NSK, or should I go to casa for this?
    3. Shocks (Front Left & Right) - read KYB would be a good replacement, ok po ba? Or again should I go OEM? I understand KyB might give a stiffer ride, am ok with that. Also is it more advisable to replace all instead of just the front shocks/dampers?

Thanks in advance sa mga tips at advise master.

I have a 09 Jazz. 1 yr na since I brought it sa casa, I went to Shell for change oil ang brake pads replacement. Ty in adv.

He,he.

In the 5 years that we are using the Jazz ay wala naging problema, ang napalitan lang ay baterya, tires, brake pads and of course, langis. It is a very good car.

Hello Sirs/Madams! I've been reading this thread for quite some time already, picking up helpful tips from you guys. Anyway, I own a 2003 CRV which I purchased over a year ago. Aside from the usual change oil and change of brake pads, I don't know anything about car maintenance. Just this morning, I brought my ride to the Honda SPA for diagnosis after hearing a few noises under the hood and whenever I step on the brakes.

The guys at Honda took it for a road test, then had the car lifted, checked under the hood, etc. I left the casa in shock as I was quoted with a jaw-dropping amount to have the following fixed/replaced:

    1. Gearbox assembly with leak; Vane pump with leak
    2. Suction hose, tank hose, ret hose, drive belt
    3. Oil pan reseal; timing chain cover reseal
    4. Valve cover gasket; vtc gasket; vtec gasket; valve grommet
    5. Shifting rod oil seal; rear crank shaft oil seal; front crank shaft oil seal.

Heck, I didn't understand the guy when he was explaining these to me as I couldn't get over my initial shock. Could someone be kind enough to explain to this Neanderthal what these all means? How about getting a second opinion? Do you have any recommended shops/mechanics who could fix the problems for a cheaper cost (without of course compromising quality)? Or should I just sell the car? Your help will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Karamihan ng parts na yan kelangan na cguro palitan dahil sa age ng vehicle, usually oil leaks lang ang problems mo dyan, but I don't think those parts would cause noises. Kung wala ka naman napapansin na oil leaks paycheck mo sa ibang mechanic/shop for another opinion.

What kind of noise are you experiencing when braking?

    Boss hondabot,

May problema kc ako sa kotse ko:

    Honda City 1.3 iDsi
    2007 model
    70,000+++ odo

So, ang naexperience kong problem lagi ako nag ha high rpm. About 2k plus rpm. Kada mag kick in ung aux fan/ radiator fan.

Pero d rn nia mafigure out kng bakt ndi mag kick in ung compressor kapag walang bypass. Hnggang sa nag come up sya sa conclusion na COMPUTERBOX raw problema. Baka raw may nadamage na resistor/ diode.

    So main problem:
    1. Hindi nag ki kick in ung compressor pag walang bypass
    2. Pag naka bypass, nag eerratic idling. High rpm kasa kick in ng aux fan or radiator fan
    3. Computer box?

Huhuhuhu. Salamat po kga sirs.

Check your fluid level kung between min & max pa. Baka nga sa tranny mo ang problema. Ganyan kasi naramdaman ko nun bago nasira tranny ko.
