For the next checkup, I'll opt-out for those items. Thanks for the inputs. Sana lang they won't counter-attack by voiding the warranty, especially if I do the filter replacements outside the casa.

Adding unnecessary jobs without your consent is tantamount to highway robbery. Another modus is asking you if you want your oil changed on your 1k PMS, just like what Honda Alabang did to my wife who consented becoz all she knew about cars was to drive them. Again, I was asked this on a new honda in another dealer at my 1k PMS. Hard to trust SAs who do this.

change oil at 1k is good, i did mine at 1k pms after following motoman break in secrets.

why do it when it's not even recommended by the manufacturer?

Because sometimes manufacturers f*ck up. Better safe than sorry. Like what happened when BMW recommended no oil change for their sealed type transmissions years ago.

pero wala pa naman ako nabalitaan na nagkaproblema sa mga units ng honda dahil sa pag sunod sa recommended 1K PMS service nila at dapat standard practice yan sa lahat ng casa. pineperahan ka lang ng SA mo kung ni-recommend nyang i-change oil for 1K PMS, lalo na kung naamoy nyang walang alam sa kotse ung nagpapaservice.

hindi naman

. i was following motomans break-in secret. google it and you'll see why i did it. btw my 1k change oil was semi-synthetic and then at 10k i use fully synthetic.
