Guys question naman po. . Kinda newbie here.
I plan to buy a 2nd hand honda civic; checked most of the cars in ayosdito and found one which says it was a 2009 model. We then pay a visit to check the unit and it looks good naman. When we checked the C.R. ,its stated there that it was a 2008 model. According to the seller the car was acquired first quarter of 2009 (february). My question is, when buying a 2nd hand car ung model po ba will depend on the year it was acquired and not on what is stated on the CR? If we were going to based on my example, anong unit po talaga nong car. . 2008 or 2009?![]()
Please enlighten naman po. . Salamat

You should based the year of the car as stated in the registration, because that is the official document of the car first and foremost.
Take this for example: I bought my Kia Sorento last year around August, but it is already a 2013 model. That doesn't make my SUV a 2012 one. Similarly, that time I can still get a 2011 model with a huge, and i mean huge discount as it was last year's model. I'm pretty sure every car made, say within this year is already a 2014 model.
Kinda confusing but that's how they are.
So, in your case even though the car is acquired Feb of 2009, it may still be a 2008 model if that's the registration paper says. Maybe the seller decided to buy the older version of the car (not the 2009 model) to save some cash as previous year's model is usually heavily discounted.
Hope this helps.

May binibenta sa erpat ko na 2007 fd, 45k odo, not sure kung 1.8 or 2.0. 350k binibenta sakanya. Ok lang ba yung price na yun for that year model?
#Retzing
Meron MT yung 2.0S, bro. Beni. Pero nadiscontinue ata ng 08 or 07...
grey?
wala naman grey na civic. 2010 ata lumabas yung polished metal na kulay ng civic.
kung 2010 yan tapos 1.8s MT for 350k medyo too good to be true.
baka...
At least yan, minimal risk since friend yung mayari.
magkano bentahan ngayon ng 2007 fd 1.8s a/t? planning to sell mine with 58k+ odo. all stock.
Hi mga sir! I'm planning to buy a 2010 civic 1.8s m/t 17895kms ung odometer.
Is there anyway para malaman if tampered ung odometer nya?
and any key points para malaman ko if flooded ung car or hindi?
Ubos ba isang gallon (4liters) of oil sa 1.8 civic fd?
Good day FD tsikoteers!
Tried searching and back reading cannot find any specific info on whether stiff rings are good for our FDs? Sa mga nakasubok na mag-install ng stiff ring sa FD nila ok ba siya o worth it ba in terms of handling, suspension play, chassis stiffness? Mine is a 2008 1.8 S.
Salamat po!![]()
Boss, for any inquiries regarding stiff rings. Pls contact me at 0917 791 2787. As for the FD i cannot comment on it but for my Mk2.5 Focus and my 2013 Rio Hb it made a big difference on both ride and handling![]()
