A semi-synthetic blend or fully synthetic oil with 5w40 viscosity will be just fine. However, for power steering and ATF, use Honda's proprietary fluids.

Your honda should be ok. Helix synthetic is pretty good.

I have honda civic 2008. My mother nag padala ULTIMATE FULL SYNTHETIC 5W-30 with part number: 08798-9039 from california. Any comments for this type of oil 3 times pa ako nag change oil ever since every 5000 kilometers and mileage more than 80 thousand. Would this be recommended on my honda civic? And also any comment for this type of oil OIL, ULT SYNTH (5W-20) - Honda (08798-9038). salamat boss

Di naman mapili yung Honda engines. 1.8L ba yung Civic mo? If that's the case, it can use any viscosity from 0w20 to 5w40 fully synthetic or 10w30 mineral.
