March 28th, 2011 04:29 PM #2personally i would go for the lancer, mas bang-for-the-buck siya kasi madaming features at compact car siya.
check mo din yung ibang mga cars na pasok sa budget mo bro, tapos itest drive mo lahat then decide

Lancer Cedia may cash discount for GLX around 40-50K. The only downside for lancer will suffer on resale value. I've checked on the Lancer thread meron dun binenta nya GLX nya for only 450K with a mileage of 6,500 only.

i was in a similar situation late last year and eventually got the automatic lancer.
having used both, technology would of course go honda's way (being a newer model) but surprisingly, ang daming kaartehan ni lancer which makes it ok na rin. in my gls - stock front fog lamps, security system, pioneer in-dash cd (mp3/wma/aac) with usb/aux input. ok na rin di ba?
mitsubishi also gives discounts; significant din yung difference vs the honda unit. also, pms intervals for mitsubishi is every 5k km vs honda's 10k km. lamang city in this area if used for regular long drives. kung city lang and you follow 10k, lugi ka sa honda (kasi at some point kailangan mo na talagang magpa-pm maski wala pang 10k).
my suggestion - look at how will you use the car. both are very good choices and give tremendous bang for buck. best of course to test drive each and see which one fits you.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
