    mga sirs, i am soliciting tips/adivice regarding sa kung papaano tumingin ng good d15b engine at kung anu ang mga steps or requirements upang malaman na ang engine ay good at legal in terms for registration...anu mga ieexpect ko na gagawin or i anticipate if i have engine swap...given na din po guro na gagastos so yung ibang factors o aspects na lang po...thanks mga experts!

    sa engine itself, look if the crank still rotates, listen to compression, buksan valve cover to see if anything there is broken (cams especially), if the seller permits to open the block, look for marks sa pistons and if possible connecting rod.

    in the legal aspect, tignan kung clean yung papers niyan. usually meron na yan kasama na papers unless kakarating lang galing japan. just dont go for the "to follow na lang yung papers".

    in terms of swapping, palitan na lahat ng seals and belts. anticipate wiring issue and tuning kasi malamang p08 na ecu kakabit.

    yun lang maalala ko, hope this helps.

    boss archie panu ba i check yung compression sa cylinders? meron bang indicators na good and working condition ang makina? parang buo na ata kasi yung ibibigay sa akin na makina, sabi ng shop bibigay sila ng one month warranty, so kelangan ko pa pa bukas yung block mismo to check for marks? good indicator na ba na matining ang andar ng makina? yung sa papers naman ang sabi sa akin mga after 3months pa makukuha, although shop naman na mismo nagbibigay ng guarantee na walang sabit ang engine na ikakabit...i chose pala yung 3 stage, any comments regarding this type of engine, good or bad? for everday usage lang po ang gamit ng kotse...thanks mga boss!

    napaandar na ba makina? if so, kung walang odd sounds ok na. to check compression, open the valve cover and turn the crank, may hissing sound na maririnig. yun yung compression. pakingan kung same lang tunog ng bawat cylinder.

    i prefer the 20 cam d15b rather the 3 stage. mas malakas 20 cams na d15b. if you trust the shop to give you the papers, then ok lang. wag lang in 3 months rerehistro ka kasi iba na engine code.

    actually boss hindi ko pa nakita ang engine itself kasi ang sabi nila kukuhanin pa from the supplier pero noted na yung mga naisabi mu na points na dapat kong tingnang sir archie...march pa naman ang registration na kotse ko kaya ok lang...pinili ko yung 3 stage kasi nabasa ko lang sa net mas matipid siya...yung 20 cam lobes kasi to my understanding old series engines sya kaya baka mahirap hanap ng spare parts...in terms of reliability same lang po ba performance ng both engines? thanks boss!

    sa cams lang nagkakaiba d15b 3 stage and 20 cams. parts are as easy as the 3 stage. reliability naman, same lang sila

    hello mga sir...so therefore same quality lang for both engines...difference lang is mas malakas yung 20 cam lobe engine...boss archie maraming salamat sa advice mag post na lang ako sa thread na ito kung may katanungan pa po ako sir....more power!

help/tips/advice re d15b engine swap
