Type your message normally. Avoid text speak.

Have a proper tune up. Check and adjust properly the ignition timing. Maybe replace spark plug. Set air fuel mixture properly.

    Use higher octane gasoline.

Another cause would be a leak along the exhaust pipe.

If you have an open exhaust, that's normal. If it's a stock exhaust, then you're probably running too rich.

Yup. That's it. If you have no more catalytic converter and your muffler is straight-through, backfiring can occur because the SiR's fuel programming is a bit rich. That's probably normal. Even so, check for unusual noises at the engine, check your sparkplugs (they should be reddish or blackish... not white or wet) and have someone check your timing.

Set your fix or base timing you would have to short the 2-PIN SCC (service check connector) located at passenger side right kick panel. It will assure that your ECU timing is starting from base calculation. Spark advance will adjust properly if ECU base timing is set correctly. for further assistance, jemsonabrigo*yahoo.com or jemsonabrigo*gmail.com Regards

ser niky ano po ung catalytic converter? and mataas po ba dapat octane rating sa SiR? and mejo maingay nga po engine..pero bago na po spark plug and ok na naman daw po ang timing...tolerable pa nmn ung pag back fire kasi paminsan minsan lng nman..kaso nkakahiya pa din kasi pag birit mu sabay magbaback fire db? hehehehe..

Is it noisy at the engine end or the muffler end? If it's the muffler end, that's just your exhaust. If it's nosiy at the engine end, there are a whole lot of things it could be... exhaust manifold leak, improper timing, etcetera... best to have a mechanic check it out, as it's difficult to diagnose it online.

Freeflow muffler = backfire, malakas sa gas by 15%, bawas low end power.
Baka may singaw ang exhaust pipe at lean ang a/f mixture. Manotice mo yan kung lean ang mixture, mas malakas ang hangin na lumalabas sa exhaust pipe kaysa kung rich a/f mixture mo.
