New car owner HELP!

Nakabili ako ng second hand na 03 honda city idsi a/t
57k na yung mileage nya.
so far, okay naman.
pero patulong naman po dito:

1. may crack yung dashboard, san ko pede pagawa?

2. kapag nag leleft ako, ung steering wheel nya parang naglolock.

3. minsan may kumakalampag sa harap, sa steering wheel pag malubak,
san ko pede paayos ung mga kalampag?

4. ung makina pag matagal ng tumatakbo, parang umiingay na, parang
hinihingal.

5. para san po ung tune up? change oil?

6. san po mga shops na pede ko paayos? ung mura pero magaling?

7. paayos ng seat belt? kasi pag tumatakbo, may tumutunog sa gilid.

mga magkano kaya magagastos ko paayos ng lahat?

Saan sa dashboard yung crack? AFAIK, wala ka na ata magagawa dito save for ordering a replacement dash from Honda. Kung yung crack nandoon sa painted portion (HU and steering wheel area), baka pwede mong i-patch + repaint. But if the crack is on the unpainted section....

For the rest of the problems.. you can try SpeedyFix. Better yet, go to the CASA and have your car checked. Then get the list of the problems, and bring your car to SpeedyFix and have them take care of it .

Some shops who do leather and car interior can repair the damaged dash board by filling in the crack and then painting the entire dashboard to mask the repair. There is one place I know near the city hall of Mandaluyong City.

BTW, thats only if the crack is on a hard part of the dash. If it's on a soft part, they can use some color matched leather to wrap the dashboard to hide the problem.

ako new owner din kabibili ko lang last month 2nd hand honda city vtech 1.5 2004 model. 380k naman. only problem was i had to replace the tires kasi medyo pudpod na.

- tune-up consists of changing the oil, the filters, the plugs. preventive maintainance ito boss.

7. paayos ng seat belt? kasi pag tumatakbo, may tumutunog sa gilid.
- baka kailangan lang ng lubrication. try mo sprayan lang ng WD-40.

- no idea. dalahin mo na lang kay speedyfix para sya na tumira lahat.

- malalim ba yung crack? afaik, your best option will have to be the entire dash replaced. pero yari ka sa price nyan. your second option is to have your dash re-upholstered at seatmates.

Hindi ata pwedeng ipa re-upholster ito. The dash of the cith'03 is mainly molded plastic with a leather like surface texture. Two tone yan -- Dark beige/Light beige if your car is black or metallic beige, dark gray/light gray otherwise. If your crack lies on the molded plastic part, then even if you can seal up the patch with a matching colored putty, it will still be highly visible unless you can match the molded texture.

The head unit (center) and instrument panel part of the dashboard is painted. It has no texture (smooth). This makes it easy to repair. If the crack is in that area, it's a simple matter of applying putty and repainting.

Saan part ba ng dashboard yung may crack? Baka pwede mo na lang lagyan ng dashboard ornament or air freshener yung part na yon para matago. Hassle din magpapalit ng dashboard. Kung palitan yan, you run the risk of introducing rattling/kalampag.

4. what do you mean humihingal? nawawalan ng hatak or nagwawala yung RPM? try cleaning the TB and IACV if up down yung RPM.

5. preventive maintenance lang boss. spark plug, para hindi pumalya kung mamatay yung plugs. oil, para laging fresh inside. , para hindi mamuo and omit smoke. air filter, para yung pumapasok na hangin hindi pigil sa dumi and prevent dust from doing in the system. fuel filter, para laging malinis yung pasok ng fuel. oil filter, para masalo yung mga rebaba.

6. speedy fix, hongly, forced speed, motorcraft mga recommend ko na shops.

7. paanong tunong boss? baka naman yung buckle lang tumatama sa gilid. pwede rin kailangan na tighten body bolts kaya may tunog.

price? no idea, depende sa shop na dalhan mo ng oto, from the 4 i mentioned, pinakamahal kay speedy fix pero panalo naman service. kung baga, worth the money. pero kung hindi ka maselan na kailangan pa ng lounge, motorcraft ok din.

sa tires naman, if you want to go cheap, nankang and maxxis are china made and cheap. wag na lang subukan yung grip at baka maacidente.

yung sa fan naman, ill opt to change na kasi kung hindi na normal tunog, most probably malapit na yan masira. over heat ang labas. hehe

dalin mo sa pasay kung namamahalan ka, kay car power and look for dondon, siya lagi tumitira ng mga sira ng oto ko.

medyo pricey talaga servitec, pumupunta lang ako dun kung paalign ng oto.

Athens22, accept it na ganun talaga pag bumibili ng 2nd hand car na oto, sasaluhin mo talaga lahat ng pagawain from prev owner. kaya yung iba, bnew na talaga ang binibili.

With regards sa oto na nakuha mo, City idsi CVT yep 8 spark plugs nyan. Kasi yung apat, yun ung unang combustion sila muna gagana, yung 4 back-up sila yung susunod na magbuburn ng un burned fuel+air mixture na natitira sa unang burn. Designed talaga yan ng honda for FUEL ECONOMY, dont worry mag eenjoy ka jan sa tipid ng gas.

And besides, i am happy because you have no poblems on your transmission. Lahat ng sinabi mo eh considered minor issue lang yan. Yung crack sa dash, madali lang yan palagay ko eh, nasira cguro yan nung pnalitan ng car stereo habang ikinakabit baka di marunong nagkabit..marerepair yan or bili ka na lang ng part na yan,,mga 2k to 3k cguro yan sa honda.

my best advise to you, kung ggamitin mo nang matagal yang oto at plano mong mahalin talaga eh gastusan mo at ipagawa lahat ng problem...after that, palagay ko mag eenjoy ka na...ganun talaga bro, magastos talaga..and beside nadedepreciate value ng oto, hindi yan asset, liability ito.

8 spark plugs! correct. dahil I-DSI. pero yung mga iba. 4 lang. kung sa pang ilalim pa check mo zafra or other shops, have a second and third opinion, baka naman iba yung sira. to tell you honestly bro, hindi kaya yung nabili mong city ay may tama na. yung nabangga na dati kaya ibinenta. dahil yung mga sira niya ay ay puro related sa isat-isa. like yung pang ilalim niya, steering and the cracK DASHBOARD., did u ask the seller, kung bakit may crack yung dash board? kung paano nagka ganun? i don't want to sound bad to you, but it seems probleamtic yung city. tama yung sabi ng isa sa thread, have it brought to cas, then get the service report, tapos dalin mo sa reputable shops na magaleng, check all the threads here, maraming recommended na talyer. para sa parts na mura and orig, punta ka sa pasay -taft rotonda, ilalim ng MRT, may auto shops dun na mura and orig na parts, Car Power and Part star. goddluck bro...

i got my achilles sa gomags trading, sucat road, kabihasnan. sila na nagkabit. federals, i used them before. i got them from minerva trading, alabang. kelly tires, goodyear servitek sells one. gajah tunggal, ang alam kong dealer dito sa south side (south side kasi ako) is yung shop sa may pilar village almanza.

pa tint, depends on the tint. go for reputable tint shops para sulit yung tints na gagamitin sa iyo. recommended brands are 3M and Solarguard.
