March 18th, 2010 01:39 AM #14I suppose your gonna use your city as a daily driver? If yes, then I suggest that you stick to lighter colors in general since it is easier to maintain (scratches and dirt aren't that obvious compared to a dark-colored car).
The fading problem isn't really an issue not unless you plan to sabotage the clear coat (the layer that gives the luster). If you apply paint protection / sealant on regular intervals, and regularly wash your car, imho you'll preserve the luster of your car as it age.

question though about black cars- pls dont laugh, but is it true that its more high risk a color when you drive at night as it's less visible?

Not really, for as long as your "navigation lights" are functional and are used properly....

March 18th, 2010 04:07 PM #18just got our new city. me and my wife's choices were black or beige. we got the beige with no regrets. it looks more formal and bigger. my brother owns a black car. high maintenance. it also looks smaller.
