gen1 crv b20 engine + b16 vtec head???

effective po ba??

mas fuel efficient daw ba pag (b16) vtec head??
ok lang ba quote nila sa kin 40k+ pesos included na yung cylinder head,installation
and tuned computer box......

any ideas about this stuff??

if done properly, this operation will give your b20 (b or z?) vtec action. your engine will then be called a frankenstein.

sounds good on paper and theory... b16's fire breathing head and the b20's bigger torque and displacement. it must be done right for it to be reliable, though. who's quoting you 40k, btw?

if you have the b20z already, i don't think a vtec b16 head will help you accelerate any quicker... i used to own a gen 1 with the b20z and it's mighty quick... sumasabay kahit kanino if driven properly, and that car weighed maybe 200 kilos heavier than a SiR.

if i were you i'd go the turbo route na lang. mahal kesa sa 40 k pero the technology is proven to deliver power almost instantly.
