December 9th, 2008 04:23 PM #1i just would like to ask the common source of that noise being heard coming from the engine its like a friction ( of course theres a friction inside) but its annoying at first i thought it would last after tune up but still it sounds like a tweeter. can anyone tell about that? is it detrimental to engine itself or is it normal like it need some kind of bloody repair? please i need some advice i'd appreciate your help. TIA!!! more horse power!!!

squeeking sound = bearing problem/loose belts
(possible bearing = idling bearing and your a/c compressor's bearing, worst scenario = wornout crankshaft pulley)
tunog typewritter = needs valve tappeting adjustment.
kailangan marunong talaga yung mechanic na gagawa nito.

valve tappets adjustment=valve clearance adjustment
better have your crank pulley replaced if its worn out na. if not baka madamay pati crankshaft. overhaul talaga yun.

try to check with other mechanics. yung iba kasi may diskarte on how to isolate the sound. i have similar hissing noise sa engine ko last time, pinadinig ko sa mekaniko, then tinangal isa isa yung mga belts, then wala pa rin, hanggang sabi niya yung timing belt is adjusted to tight.
dinare ko pa nga eh, sabi niya pag hinde natangal wag siyang bayaran. ayun after small adjustment natangal yung ingay na sinasabi ko.
recommendation: try other reputable mechanic.
