I think for that model of Civic they were using the D series engine... This was probably the most used engine by Honda. Na stop na lang ata ginamit ito nung nilabas na yung FD Civic which uses the new R series engine....

ph16 engine for the 96-00 civics except the orig SiR. not a bad engine if you ask me. got some neck snapping powah if you tune it well

guys patulong naman, balak ko set up civic ko, D series din to, current mods ko are simota (big tube) and highten pa lang, nagpaqote ako ng complete exhaust pipe system (headers, straight pipe and headers) umabot ng 16k ok ba price nila? sa may sucat road yung shop nila...

Ph16a local code ng vti engine.

It's an hybrid D16Y5 (vtec-e) and D16Y8 (20 lobes). But its more of Y5, so parang vtec-e ang local vtec.

12 valve normally and 16 valves at about 3.5 K rpm depending on some parameters.

As mentioned the PH16 engine from the EK Civic VTi is based on the D16 engines. The only reason why it's stamped "PH16" on the block is because it was manufactured here. HTHs

ang alam ko po ang PH16 is sa EG civic 1.6 non-vtec pa... PH16A na ata yung sa EK civic VTI 96-2000 1.6 VTEC... AFAIK...
