April 7th, 2009 08:43 AM #11I just got a 2000 CRV automatic - 365k with 122tkms on the odometer -- 1 owner, pretty high mileage but it is very well casa maintained - every 40tkms fluids were drained, flushed and replaced, belts and hoses also replaced at the right time, new evaporator, radiator, etc. At this point I am very happy with the all around tightness of the vehicle and its NVH levels are excellent!

Get the A/T na lang kasi it's more comfortable to drive. Pero the 365 thou M/T crv is kinda pricey. Pero in what you said okay naman ang product. Kumbaga parang bago. Kaya nga lang M/T, pero if that what you prefer, kahit 350k kunin mo na since may ipapagawa din naman sila

we're talking about the 1st generation crv here, dba? 1st gen, production year 2000?
i used to own one. silver, in manual transmission. very powerful and very fast (for a car above one ton).
only problem i had with it was ang tigas ng clutch, at ang layo ng gearshift... masyadong mababa for my taste, kaya nakakapagod. i'm 5'8" with fairly long arms, even so, parang hirap pa din ako i-throw around yung gearshift.
get an automatic, seriously. sarap i-drive over long distances ang CRV 1st gen (yung 2nd gen, oks din naman). i drove mine to the visayas from manila, no problems whatsoever... yung lubak lubak sa samar kayang kaya. although sinumpa ko ang m/t nun...cguro kung a/t dala ko nun i may have had a more enjoyable experience.

July 22nd, 2009 03:02 AM #16salamat po sir for sharing!
im planning to buy a 2nd hand 2000 model crv....pero kapag kinaya pa sa budget siguro i'll go for the 2nd gen crv.
salamat!

lucena kayang kaya nyan.

July 23rd, 2009 11:02 AM #19i would prefer buying a 1st gen crv vs. the 2nd gen. the 1st gen seems to be more practical. the problem is ang hirap makakita ng sariwa. you will be better getting the a/t since there are more available parts. m/t was only launched late 2000 and only few were sold. so in terms of parts support, mas konti.
