I think my A/C compressor doesn't stop automatically, does that mean my A/C thermostat is not working? If I replace it with a new one, do I also need to replace my expansion valve?
Also, it having a defective thermostat has an effect the fuel consumption of my car?

baka kulang freon mo.. pag kulang yan di talaga yan mag-au-automatic...
pahanap mo kung saan may leak..

na aachived ba ng a/c mo ang required temp? baka hindi kaya hindi nag automatic stop ang compressor, try mo bukas ang hood mo then open ang aircon dapat pag malamig na meron kang madidinig na clik sound(disengaged) ang magnetic clutch ng aircon compressor), pag sure ka naman na sira ang thermostat mo elctrical signal naman ito going to compressor kaya hindi na kailangan tangalin ang expansion valve. pa check mo na lang sa aircon shop baka naman meron sira sa wiring.

August 27th, 2009 08:32 PM #5thanks for your reply... i think nare-reach ko naman ang required temperature kasi malamig naman sa loob ng kotse... na-try ko na rin i-open yung hood ko to see kung nagdi-disengaged ang clutch ng a/c compressor pero di talaga kahit malamig na malamig na sa loob ng kotse... pa-check ko na lang din sa aircon shop... thanks ulit

may leak yan.. hanapin mo..dapat di ka nga nag-papacarga ng freon until your next cleaning.
pag mabula sa sight glass ng reciever/drier, ibig sabihin kulang na yan.
original, factory installed thermostat di agad nasisira yan. maxima ko nga 20 years na, original parin ang thermostat ng a/c..

I also prefer silver. hindi halata na madumi na and some imperfections like faded color and slight...
