I bought a Honda Civic with Comprehensive Insurance with them tru their sales exec Janet Tan last Oct 2010. I paid full cash:

    Honda Civic 1.8S - 978 000.00
Malayan Comp. Insurance with AOG daw - 33 000.00
    Free LTO REG

I paid total around 1 013 000.00 to her at Honda Quezon Ave.

Nag claim ako ng insurance first time last year November kasi sumadsad sa gutter yung sasakyan ko since first time driver kaso di daw complete ang papers ko sabi sa service center nila. Pinuntahan ko daw sales exec ko si Janet Tan. So pinuntahan ko sales exec ko at sabi nya sya na daw bahala maglakad nun at umuwi na lang daw ako. Ive waited 3 weeks then nag text sales exec ko i need to pay around 13 800. I paid it by cash. Tinanong ko sales exec ko Janet Tan na di pala covered yun ng Comprehensive Insurance sabi nya di daw. Im a first time car buyer so i dont know any of this stuff.

Nagasgasan yung sasakyan ko last January 18 as usual since kulang ang papers ko at di binigay ni Janet Tan ang policy ng insurance ko nag pay na naman ako ng cash sa Service Center nila around 10 000.

I had another claim around 12800 end of January kaso wala pa rin policy ng insurance ko na binibigay ni Janet Tan so i need to pay by cash again.

Later I have a friend na marunong sa kotse at may Honda sabi nya sakin bakit daw di ko ginagamit yung Comprehensive Insurance ko dapat participation fee lang ang binabayaran ko. So nagtanong tanong ako sa Honda Cars Quezon Ave and had a talk with the Sales Manager Erwin Asis. I just found out kulang talaga ang papers ko with my Comprehensive Insurance sa Malayan. Walang maibigay si Janet Tan na policy sakin until now even fully paid na ako sa insurance 33 000.

Now her Sales Manager Erwin is investigating the matter. So guys be careful with this Janet Tan baka binulsa lang yung binayad kong 33 000 for my insurance.

    Her info-
    name:XXXXXXXXX
    Mobile number: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    email: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    works at XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

saan kaya puede ireklamo yung ganito ive paid full cash with my insurance hanggang ngayon di pa rin mabigay yung policy sakin kaya di ko sya nagamit?

seriously the story looks fishy to me. who in the right mind would just shell out tons of money for something like that ? without checking if everything's complete ? jeez. probably some are just too " new " in the world of automobiles.

if this thing's even real then tell it to the highest person you can think of that works at honda, but then again, do you have proof that such " transaction " was made ? this is gonna be a hard case for you *ts, if this wont lead to anything positive then just take it as a lesson that you SHOULD NOT give or pay anything ( unless you're willingly giving something as a gift ) to your adviser without having a single receipt that such transaction happened.

Besides, if you're a person na may ganyang cash. Siguro naman, medyo highly educated ka. Hence, you should be aware sa takbo ng mundo. At nun pagbili ng kotse, hindi nman siguro impulse buying yan, for sure you've done you're research and the like kahit papano . Kaya sa opinion ko, medyo malabo yan.

have you tried calling malayan to verify if insured ka sa kanila?

if so, you can always ask for a copy of your policy directly from them. mas ok if you give all the documents directly to the ins company.

as for the cash you gave the SA, wow, i'm sorry to hear that. you have to prove that she received the money or atleast have a witness. mahirap patunayan ang isang bagay lalo na pag wala kang proof.

As a valued and totally satisfied customer of Honda Cars Quezon City (HCQC) located at Quezon Avenue, I was alarmed by the complaints posted by TS at this website. So I did an investigation on my own and asked some friends from HCQC about this incident since these postings had already escalated to the point that I felt has been damaging not only to HCQC but to the Sales Manager Mr. Dennis Sibucao. I take the liberty of posting what I gathered to be able to provide the HCQC side of this unfortunate incident.

In discussions with the HCQC Sales Manager, Mr. Sibucao and Mr. Erwin Asis, the Supervisor of Sales Executive Ms. Janet Tan they explained that this apparent misdeed and unprofessional act of Ms. Tan is an isolated case that was perpetuated directly by the Sales Executive and without the knowledge and certainly, without the consent of the company.

The details of this incident – as far as HCQC is concerned are as follows:

    =================================================

Mr. ***** (a walk-in customer) purchased a brand new Honda Civic A/T unit from HCQC through Sales Executive Janet Tan last October 20, 2010. He paid to HCQC a manager’s check amounting to P 1,013,000 which included the unit price (P 978,000) and for a Malayan Insurance Company comprehensive insurance policy with premiums costing P 35,000.

After the payments were made and the vehicle was released to Mr. *****, it appeared that Janet Tan was able to convince Mr. ***** that she can get him a similar comprehensive insurance policy from another insurance provider for only P 33,000 and a savings to Mr. ***** of P2,000. So convinced, Mr. ***** issued a go-ahead for Janet Tan to claim from HCQC a refund of the P 35,000 premium payment for the Malayan Insurance policy. On Nov 10, 2010, HCQC then issued its check to Mr. ***** for the refund and he deposited the HCQC Check to his account and gave Ms. Tan P 33,000 cash to purchase the new comprehensive insurance policy from another insurance company provider which she recommended to him so that he can generate the said savings.

Before the policy could be issued by Ms. Tan to Mr. *****, his vehicle was involved in an accident which damages to the unit cost Mr. ***** P10,326. He asked Ms. Tan to claim the repairs damage against the new policy she had purportedly purchased but Janet Tan said that they could not claim from this policy since “documentation for the insurance was not yet complete” Janet Tan then asked Mr. ***** to first pay for the damages while documentation was being completed.
Unfortunately, Mr. ***** was again involved in two more car accidents on Jan 10, 2011 and on Jan 21, 2011 which damages cost P 10,326 and P12,807 respectively. On both these occasions, Ms. Tan again continued to tell Mr. *****that “documentation was still not completed” and so she asked him to first pay the damages and when the policy was finally completed and issued, she would seek claims for all three accidents and Mr. ***** would be reimbursed accordingly. The total cost of damages for these three separate accidents amounted to P 36,934 and were paid by Mr. *****.

At this point, Mr. ***** was bothered by the non-issuance of the policy and the costs of damages advanced by him (which should have been paid for by the insurance coverage – net of participation costs). He then decided to go to Honda Cars Quezon City last May 16 and demanded from Janet Tan for a copy of the comprehensive insurance policy. Janet was still unable to provide his request. So Mr. ***** asked to speak with the Sales Manager of Janet Tan (but Mr. Sibucao was unavailable at that time). However, Mr. ***** was able to talk to Mr. Erwin Asis, the Supervisor of Janet Tan. Hearing the complaint of Mr. *****, Mr. Asis requested from him the complete details of all these insurance transactions so that he can verify it. Since Mr. ***** cannot recall all the details he told Mr. Asis that he will text all the dates and amounts that he paid for the insurance and the damages. The following day Mr. ***** emailed a complaint to Honda Cars Quezon City Customer Relations Department. Upon receipt of this communication, HCQC CRD immediately relayed it to the Sales Manager Dennis Sibucao. Mr. Sibucao called up Mr. ***** and started the investigation. Mr. Sibucao also demanded that Janet Tan immediately deliver the comprehensive insurance policy and pay the damages incurred by Mr. *****. Upon careful and thorough investigations and evaluations, HCQC Sales Group and Legal Officer, Ms. Janet Tan admitted her fault that she pocketed the P 33,000 that Mr. ***** gave to purchase the new insurance policy.

Ms. Tan was then directed by her Manager to immediately rectify the situation by securing the comprehensive insurance policy and repaying Mr. ***** for the advances he made for the three damage claims (net of participation amount). It was confirmed by Mr. ***** that Ms. Tan did issue and submit to him the insurance policy and that she promised to repay the net liabilities to him over a periodic amortization when they both met to talk about this resolution.

In the meantime, Ms. Janet Tan was TERMINATED FOR CAUSE by HCQC and I was able to see and read a copy of this letter duly acknowledged and signed by Ms. Janet Tan.

In discussions with Mr. Sibucao, he pointed out that:

    1. This transaction in regard to the purchase of the NEW comprehensive Insurance policy offered by Ms. Janet Tan to Mr. ***** is a PRIVATE TRANSACTION between them. This new transaction was clearly agreed to my Mr. ***** understanding that the additional discount in the premium costs of the new policy will benefit him personally. A such, in no way was Honda Cars Quezon City involved or a party to this new transaction. In fact, Mr. ***** received the premium payment refund for the original insurance purchase of Malayan Insurance policy and he deposited the HCQC check issued to him.

    2. Mr. ***** had the obligation to himself and should have had the foresight to immediately report to HCQC Management the non-issuance of the policy he purchased from Ms. Tan at the instance of the first accident! He waited for two more accidents and two more additional damage costs before he raised the complaint and demands for restitution from Ms. Tan and report the matter to HCQC. Had he immediately raised the flags against Ms. Tan in the first accident, the Management of HCQC could have immediately began proceedings against Ms. Tan and would have been in a better position to rectify the situation at a much earlier time and would have found an earlier resolution before additional costs could have been incurred by Mr. *****.

    3. The immediate actions (TERMINATION FOR CAUSE) taken by HCQC Management against Ms. Janet Tan for infidelity to her job functions, theft and numerous Policy Violations were proof that the company neither supports nor abets any misdeed by its employees, especially faults and infractions regarding honesty and fidelity in the handling of funds / moneys.

    =================================================

Having listened to the side of HCQC, I am convinced that they have been blameless in this incident and that the bad “press” being posted in this website against the Honda Cars Quezon City and its Officers (particularly its Sales manager, Mr. Sibucao) are totally unfounded and unfair.

EDIT: Name of the TS omitted

You don't gives your sales agent or service advisor CASH or CHEQUE, that's supposed to be against any company policy! Nabulsa na yan malamang, you only deal with the CASHIER of the CASA and right then the CASHIER of the CASA should issue you a receipt for cash payments or a provisional receipt if its a cheque (kasi may clearing pa). Even if wala pa yung insurance policy mismo basta nagbayad ka dapat may receipt yun!

yan ang mahirap, nadali ka na ng 33k sa insurance, nadali ka pa sa claim.

your car is so young that participation lang kailangan and no depreciation.

she should get fired and sued for damages.
