After so many releases since the 1st gen which is a beautiful classic, this latest CRV gen is the best looking crossover (even better than the Mazda CX5)

Not digging the new one. Yung front may fake exhausts?
Many features regressed, like they went again with incandescent rear turn signals, not fully digital cluster, and many more.
Also, the Civic/CR-V/HR-V basically has the same interiors, and yung long hood design, ugh.
Except for the fake exhaust (which is obviously for aesthetics only), Honda copied a lot of the design ideas that Mazda has been doing for a long time with their Skyactiv formula.
Not having a full digital dashboard cluster can be a good thing. I actually prefer the analog style with the digital parts used only for certain driving info only. Mazda knows this really well.
Long hood, that's actually what makes a car very s.e.x.y and sleek when viewed from the side angle!
Similar interior design queues for various car models for a brand comes with good sense of keeping things neat and tidy. Consistent styling gives a brand a strong identity (e.g. Apple products).
Honda finally realized simplicity in design appeals to a wide variety of car owners.
Visited Honda Alabang yesterday, I asked the SA, no firm date but they mentioned probably last quarter of the year.

it will be very interesting if Honda PH decides to stop offering the diesel option.
(napag-isip tuloy ako, yung local 3rd Gen ba may diesel version?)
anyway, mild hybrid, so mileage should be better. and exempted sya from coding for the next 6 years.
Diesel is being phased out worldwide ... hybrids will have tax free benefit and exempted from coding is a selling point ...
So lahat ng variants are hybrids na?

Coding exemption will probably be repealed eventually ... when the ratio of hybrid cars becomes high enough ...
Base model has 1.5 turbo (190 hp). Same engine as Civic FE but with higher HP (190 vs 178).
We currently have a Civic FE, super good engine. I also have a 2.4 CRV (185 hp) but super layo ng power ng 1.5 turbo in real world use.
If the 1.5 turbo is 1.9M tapos 2.5M yung hybrid, I’d say the 1.5 turbo is still the better buy.

This article from TopGear PH mentions that its "Accord’s tune that makes 190hp and 242Nm of torque."
RS Line will have AWD which will make things interesting
EL e:HEV will still get coding exemption
Yeah that’s what I said - 190 hp for the CRV.
On a separate paragraph I was sharing how my CRV 2.4 with 185 hp pales in comparison to my brother’s Civic FE with 178 hp. Even if the power figures are similar, it’s a world of difference in terms of performance. 8 seconds vs 11 seconds 0-100 times.

190 hp is mini cooper S power levels....;)
And petrol turbo torque > NA anyday. Also better than diesel torque for the flatter and longer torque wave .
Only electrics and hybrids will better it.

Would be interesting to see if Honda PH will offer the AWD on both the turbo and hybrid version.

Saw one here. An AWD turbo.

Here are three different variants for the 2024 CR-V as we understand it:
2024 Honda CR-V 1.5 V Turbo CVT
2024 Honda CR-V 1.5 VX Turbo CVT
2024 Honda CR-V 2.0 e:HEV RS eCVT
