Honda reveals SE Asia version of 2022 HR-V hybrid | Autoindustriya

the Thai-spec HR-V is only available as a hybrid. Power comes in the form of a 1.5-liter Atkinson-cycle inline-four that is helped along by two electric motors. The engine alone makes 105 PS and 127 Nm of torque. But with the i-MMD system in play, the crossover makes a combined system output of 131 PS and 253 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to the wheels via an e-CVT. Honda also claims the HR-V e:HEV can average 25.6 km/L.

Is the USDM HRV same platform as the ASEAN/JDM version?

Interesting that the front end looks more like a Ford than any other Honda.

Iba talaga new HR-V sa ibang bansa. Mas elegant tignan for some reason compared sa PH version and have better features. Laki ng price difference ng non-turbo sa turbo variant. For Php 1.2M (non-turbo) or 1.5M (turbo), I'd rather get Geely Coolray or Ford Territory. Prior to PH launch, I was really excited on the new HR-V even though di naman talaga ako bibili.

I can't imagine how long it will take to do 80-110km/h which is needed to overtake provincial buses at night.

Is 1.5L NA enough then? Told you so.

Yung 2.0L NA nga ng ASX proves just enough to give it some oomph when you need it.

    HR-V S is 1,262kg

    Toyota's Rush is 1,870kg
There's even a 1.3L Avanza! (sorry, can't find its officially listed weight)

On paper, the HR-V S should be ok. But one can't really tell until you test drive the unit.

I still find it disappointing that Honda PH did not release the (mild) hybrid version.

depends on which country you're looking at.

US' HR-V is based on the Civic

Sa Singapore naman, they prefer direct imports from Japan, hybrid Vezel
Thailand also prefers the hybrid version

Our version is similar to the one in Indonesia pero its made in Thailand.
