Will it get better after break in or should I just maybe have to get used to it?
Have the same issue with our CRV S diesel. The clatter from the engine can be distracting especially if you are used to driving a gas powered car. I have a 2013 Kia Carnival diesel and while it cannot match the CRV diesel engine in terms of smoothness, it’s diesel clatter seems more muffled than the CRV’s. CRV has a more metallic, clicking sound...it really needs more sound deadening in the firewall.

Thanks bro. Will make this a Sunday morning project.

The majority of CRV buyers (even the gas variant) would care more about 1 km/L and a cheaper price tag than a torquey 2.4L 185 hp engine.

Case in point - the Forester 2.0 NA outsells the XT by a lot, even if the latter had much much better performance.

A good compromise between performance and FC would be the 1.5L turbo gas but I bet it costs quite a bit more vs the NA engines.

The diesel feels sprightly enough but not exactly confidence inspiring during overtakes hehe.

Not sure if it also has to do with the 16 weight oil that Honda is insisting on using during PMS. That oil is super thin and might be causing more clatter than normal.

Yeah I was concerned w the 0w16 oil (Honda Diesel Oil #2.0) as well. We just have to trust Honda that the additive package of #2.0 oil will maintain film strength needed by critical parts like crank shaft, cam lobes, bearings etc. as well as a higher viscosity oil. I just wish Honda gave us an option to use 0w30 or 5w30 oil which are both also recommended for our diesel CRV in the owner’s manual.

Nakakatawa talaga honda.

[emoji23]

Pwede i-tap sa cigarette lighter or sa USB diba meron yun gardner bender
na pang tap sa existing car wire.

I-career ko itong USB sa second row whether bentahan nila ako or hinde pwede naman ordering ko na lang sa US.

Iba na kasi mga casa ngayon from 10/15 years ago, ang alam lang nila PMS. Before kabisado nila yung buong kotse. Ang may alam na lang sa kotse yung taga "planta".

Not even sure why they call it "plant" when most of the time the cars they sell are CBUs.

Paki confirm naman sa mga naka S or SX. kung yun USB port sa likod eh meron sariling fuse. Ang gas variant ba meron USB port sa second row.

Two different wiring harness for the front footlight. Top is from Thai market with P/N 08E10-TLA-7000-30, bottom is from the US with P/N 08E10-TLA-1000-30. US market harness connects to the hazard connector. Haven’t check the connectors where the Thai market harness will connect to.

Different ambient lights as well, Thai market has 2 leds while the US market only has 1.

Still contemplating which one to use for the front. Will find a way how to put in the other pair for the 2nd row.

May nakaabang na mounting below the steering wheel cover and glovebox nung ambient light. Yung Thai model binili ko during a previous biz trip sa Bangkok sa Honda dealership. Yung US model sa Amazon since mas mura lumabas compared sa collegehillshonda.com

Install instruction nung sa US version below.

Wala ako schematic, pero yung mga ganyang USB jacks sa 12V power ng cigarette lighter naka tap (80W max rating sa 12V socket) with inline fuse na 3A.
