2017 Honda CR-V Turbo and 7seats

My brother and I convoyed the other night from Fairview to our house and the CRV got 9.3 km/L while the Civic got 11.2 km/L.

So 2 km/L difference even on light city driving. Comes as no surprise na malakas talaga sa gas yung CRV 2.0 relative to other gas fed sedans.

Anybody has issue with EPS/gearbox? Mine is for warranty replacement. My CR-V is rarely used - 11 months old with only 7500 kms . Any similar issue?

started with intermittent soft knocking sound when turning and pulsating feeling sa steering wheel. Ngayon di na intermittent yung knocking sound... di na sya nawawala at mas lalong lumakas. Yung pulsating feeling ngayon pumipitik na ng medyo malakas yung sa steering wheel.

Experienced the same issue on our 9 month old CRV 2.0S with 12,000 km. Honda replaced the steering gearbox free of charge (75k worth of parts and labor), took them a day to do it once the parts arrived.

Works like a charm now, no recurring problems so far. [emoji106]

I had the same intermittent knocking/pulsating sound that jcdim described. On top of that, if you turn the steering wheel at full lock, you'll feel resistance like it's bouncing back.

Yes it's safe. Brought the car to Subic and Clark with the noisy EPS and it turned out just fine. I was able to take corners at high speed without any issues.

Honda themselves said that it has no impact on safety and performance. And this not just from a random technician but from their Head of Service.

So its both variants (Diesel and Gas) that will manifest this problem? I acquired mine in March 2018. Is yours earlier or later?

I notice that the steering wheel sort of turns slightly whenever I start the car. I think this is normal.
