November 28th, 2017 08:13 AM #1731Will all you guys stop talking & comparing about other cars aside from the new CRV This thread is about it. Gads, you’re all starting to sound like fags , hehe. No pun intended.
Im at the brink of getting the CRV anyday now, did a technical research, read global reviews, did my own value for hard money, and wow it handles & drives pretty impressive. Positive feel and something new & different, during a free test drive.
How to keep the emission system free of gunk, one has to open up the rig in the highway once a month, Nlex,Slex, tplex, name it and do a speed run. Other than that, enjoy the amazing fuel consumption.
Remains to be realized, but claims look good enough even halved at real time actuals.

November 28th, 2017 01:18 PM #1733I just test drive the Hyundai Santa fe today guys, I am no Honda fanboy, and I am no hyundai hater. But CRV is miles ahead with Santa Fe. In terms of drive handling, technology, smoothness and many more. Even the base model of the CRV beats the Santa Fe. The only winning factor of Santa Fe is the speed. Other than that, CRV OWNSSS!!!!! We will be getting the honda CRV V variant next week if mitsubishi or the MUX wont be able to compete with the pricing that has been offered to us. Hopefully its worth it, even tho its only the base variant.

November 28th, 2017 06:19 PM #1737I’d be happy with the entry level V dtec, also 9speed a/t , 17”wheels has higher profile tire, more rubber & air, can absorb bad cracked roads better, (saves the steering & suspension parts). No push start button, but the key ignition is safer for us. No accidental pushing of it by hyper wonderful kids on board, who may accidentally shut down the engine while the crv is moving. Maybe replace the stock speakers with the Kicker brand (for 22k)
. The wood trims can be bought after market im sure. Halogen lights of the V, maybe power consuming but its as bright as LED. Add a roofrack (later) , and drive this summer all over. The diesel will be inspiring!

November 28th, 2017 06:38 PM #1738V Diesel is OK. Most of the perks of S and SX is for the driver. Kinuha ko ang S kasi habol ko din yung android auto. Medyo mababaw, pero ayaw ko ng may naka mount sa dashboard ko. Pero you can upgrade naman to an AA or Carplay capable radio. I think you can get the radio for 20k.
As for honda sensing, i got a dashcam with front collision warning and lane departure warning. It's not that advance compared sa honda sensing pero OK na din.

If you ask me, yes. 200k is fair for 18" rims, Android Auto, push button ignition, and LED headlamps, among other features.
Ride of the 18s is still very comfortable and the tires are still fairly thick (235/60R18). I've had 40-series 18" tires on my past 2 cars and no premature wear on suspension.
A car also will not turn off while moving if you press the ignition button.
And LED headlamps definitely much brighter than halogen, I've compared them side by side and the difference is huge.

November 28th, 2017 07:43 PM #1740Haha actually napa-nuod ako tuloy sa youtube on what will happen if you push the ignition button while the car is moving. Depends daw sa manufacturer. Dun sa video, kapag slow speeds, it will turn off the engine. Pag highway speeds naman, it won't turn off. May way to turn off ang engine pag highway speeds, long press on the ignition button.
Tsaka bakit ka magpapa-upo ng hyper active na bata sa harap? Put them at the third row! Para magamit naman yun third row
