I doubt that Honda will be fielding a diesel car locally. They would have done that long ago.

Honda sells diesel vehicles sold in UK, Europe, and Australia.

Honda priced the Pilot at over P3M, leaving most of us to wonder what Honda PH is smoking.

On the other hand, pricing the Pilot above P3M allows Honda to price the rumoured 7-seater CR-V somewhere in the P2M range - which will lead most of us to wonder what magic mushrooms Honda PH was gorging on.

Article says 5+2, but i think there will be enough headroom on the 3rd row for an asian adult. Bigger than the xtrail imo interior wise. My guess is the cx5 gen2 will probably grow to this size also.

Not sure where they got their 80mm, from my post?

Next-gen Honda CR-V could have 80 mm longer wheelbase

if this 1.6 CRV proves to be as powerful as the current crop of PPV, tapos mas matiped pa, eh sigurado hihina ang sales ng PPV. This CRV may as well secure the no .2 position with years to come , with Fort always at the top.

ako watch mode. good thing I didn't get the Montero hehe. maka-Honda ako, I still have fully restored 1st gen CRV in my collection.

hmm... kahit na boring yun itsura nya sa pics and sa youtube, maybe it's better looking in person. kawawa Everest and Mux, better call the promo professionals na, delikado pasko nila

pero iba din ang dating ng upcoming Santa Fe ) Hyundai is shifting to the Kona look, yun singkit look pero aggressive Ford Raptor like grills. Wow! pagandahan na

A friend got his crv a week or so ago, one thing he notice is like he is not getting the attention of the other car/noncar guys. As in nobody cares, unlike the other Honda stablemate Civic which is really eye catching.

Which variant did he get? In what color?

TBH, the new crv's shape is basically similar as the older one that it replaces. Styling isnt extraordinary and eye-catching. It's not really a big minus but it could have been designed sportier like the civic

At first glance at the pictures of the new CRV, I thought it was just a facelift with a new diesel engine.

Ano ang majority opinion dito? Gas or Base Diesel? I'm torn between features vs fuel savings. May difference ba in terms of long-term durability? May cool-off period pa ba mga diesel engines ngayon? I normally do not go beyond 120kM/h. City driving lang. Biggest downer would be the analog radio (if I'm not mistaken) but I can eventually upgrade this to a 3rd party brand in the future. May difference ba yung 1" wheel difference sa baha? Speaking of baha, kaya ba ng CRV ang knee deep?

Can the second row seat 3 medium-built adults comfortably for long rides? Or 3 petite adults lang? 5inch difference sa hip room compared to Tucson and CX5 yung second row pero nung nakita ko sa showroom parang hindi naman ramdam yung difference. It seems wider than the RAV4 which has a similar hip room measurement on paper.

If ever, this will be my first time to own a Honda. Sabi nila mahal maintenance and parts compared to Toyota. Any comments? How about durability? Bagay ba sa Philippine roads and conditions? Aircon bumigay sa new-gen Civic ng friend ko.

There isn't much you can do with a box while maximizing space.

Look at the City vs. the Jazz. Both the Jazz and CR-V are designed with maximum space utilization in mind.

That said, the new CR-V has better fender flaring and a more aggressive stance than the old model. Definitely an improvement, moving closer to the split-grille we bought back in 07.

I doubt CarGuide's 11.2 second estimate. I estimate about 12 seconds. Which is reasonable for a diesel in this class.

But speed is never the deciding factor for purchases. Otherwise everyone would be buying Trailblazers (9 seconds to 100 km/h).

Still, shame. Hopefully we get a 160 hp variant in the next model cycle. Maybe 2019?

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Good point. Still, sperm dies a lot more slowly in faster grocery getters.

I'm more worried about 0-170. If it can reach that at all. Would probably take 90 seconds.
