Timing belt or timing chain ba ang L13Z? My car is a 2010 City MT (GM1) with 160k km in its odo. Just went through the car manual and it did not mention any maintenance interval. Appreciate your thoughts/advice. TIA.

One of the major issue of GM6 na lumalabas na is the starter.

I've seen like 7 issues already in HCCP group na pinalitan ang starter kasi sira agad.

Mine is showing symptoms already, turning the engine on, no crank, twice or thrice bago mag on engine. Pero sobrang bihira mangyari.

First I thought it's the battery, 3X ko pina check sa iba ibang talyer and mahina na rin daw talaga battery and advise me to change it already, nag palit ako. Pero after a week, bumalik yung no crank pag ino-on engine.

Na confirm ko lang na hindi lang pala ako yung may issue sa HCCP group.

Mine turned 3 years last January and wala ng warranty. 15k odo pa lang pero everyday ginagamit pero sobrang short distance lang like going back ang forth sa kabilang village namin, going to grocery and malls lang.

Update lang.

Went to Rey's electrical sa cubao kasi hirap na talaga mag start. Meron pang one time na muntik ako itirik sa mall, pinalamig ko makina ng 1 hour bago mag on engine.

Nung una nag hehesitate sila ayusin, kasi mahirap daw ayusin starter ng GM6 kasi wala solenoid. Hit or miss daw kasi merong isang part dun na mahirap alisin, it's either mabuksan nila or masisira yung part na yun and hindi na magagamit yung starter.

So ako pinag desisyon nila, wala na talaga ako choice since Reys na ang nagsabi, pinasubukan ko na paayos sa kanila since pag hindi naman nila naayos labor lang ang babayaran ko and plano ko na bumili na lang talaga sa casa ng bagong starter which is worth 18k.

Buti na lang merong senior electrician doon na pinag compare yung starter ng previous generation ng Jazz and starter ko. Pareho ng sukat and same ng connection. Sinubukan nila ikabit and ayun nag start so pwede nga.

Good thing is they have available Jazz starter there so I opt for it na lang. Total damage 3500 with 3 months warranty.

Sabi sakin mas ok daw yung mga dating starter ng Jazz at City kasi may solenoid and madaling ayusin compared sa new starter ng GM6. Kahit sa probinsya ko pa daw paayos kayang kayang gawin.

Dun sa mga under warranty pa, beware of the symptoms, malakas pa battery nyo pero twice or thrice (walang crank and "tick" sound lang) bago mag on engine. Papalitan nyo na agad ng bago sa casa.

Yung iba busted agad A/C fan.
Yung iba pinapasok ng tubig ulan sa loob

So far sakin Starter pa lang naman nagiging issue. Pero yung pinaka mahal naman

just read your issue regarding your starter...eto po ba yung when you switch to start as in no power? experience the same issue din po kasi...para just in case i-pacheck ko n din po sa casa sakto din po kasi na for PMS na ko next month.

Yup wala redondo, ilang try bago mag on engine? may naririnig ka bang "tick" sound?

Ilang years na city mo? pag malapit na matapos warranty, insist mo na palitan na nila. Masakit sa bulsa starter 18k.

1.5 yrs po...yup i-report ko na din para kahit pano nasa record na nila...

Parang hindi starter ito, baka need to change battery na ito.

If medyo matagal pa PMS mo, pa check mo voltage ng battery mo sa mga car battery shops or sa mga talyer.

Mostly stock batter ng city ngayon tumatagal lang ng 1 year and 6 months.

ah hinde po ba ganun ang sign ng starter issue? ung sa inyo po ba may power pa din si stereo once nagswitch to start na ung key? in my case po kasi off lahat pagswitch to start...

sana nga po battery issue lang...by next month naman na po PMS.
