Just did my 3.5yr maintenance yesterday. Pero i'll be looking at options for next year.
Good pa rin daw yung brake pads ko, at 67,830KM. Weird. So I guess, matagal pa ba bago ko mapudpod yung brakes.
Something is wrong.

i have a City GD w/ 130,000 km. still on original brake padsnot even close to the service limit of 1.6mm but i'll replace them before the year ends, to coincide w/ brake fluid replacement (more convenient for various reasons). i already purchased Bosch pads from Anamallo on lazada. P990 only

Good Day mga kaGM6
Anu po usual or common steps for claiming insurance? (Own damage, see details below)
May maliit kasi ako paint dent and chip sa door panel.
Tapos nakahilera sila and may tali.
Total of three vehicles tinamaan. (Woooh!!!!)
(Yes, hit and run. I tried to keep calm na din, kasama ko pregnant wife ko.)
Police report is applicable if yung claim ay may 3rd party involved diba? Pero technically parang Own Damage nalang magagawa ko, kasi natakasan kami.
If ipapasok ko sya as Own Damage nalang siguro, paano process?
Should I bring it directly sa CASA?
Thanks in advance sa sasagot.

Step 1: dalhin mo sa dealer/casa yung unit, hanapin mo BRP unit. A service assessor will be assigned to your case. Kung ang estimate is equal or less than the deductible (a.k.a. participation fee) stated in your insurance policy... mas mabuti pa na tiisin mo na lang muna yung damage. If the estimate is greater than the deductible, then proceed to step 2.
Step 2: prepare the following documents and submit mo sa casa.
- notarised affidavit: kwento mo dito yung incident: location, date/time, etc., emphasising hit and run yung nangyari
- photocopy of your drivers license (i’m assuming the name is under your name and ikaw yung driver during the incident)
- original copy of the insurance policy
- estimate from the BRP (from step 1)
Note: police report is not necessary
Step 2.1: Since you’re already in the casa, pay the customer service officer a visit. Pa-cute ka ng konti... pakilala ka, tell about your case. Mention the name of the service assessor who’s handling your case. GET HER NUMBER, both company number and personal number. Pati messenger, viber, etc. If in case babalik ka ulit sa casa, bring something for the customer service, like cookies, chips, etc. Konti lang, yung kayang ibulsa.
Step 3: The casa will file the claim to the insurance company (btw, from what insurance company is your policy?)
Step 4: Wait for the LOA to be issued by the insurance company to BRP/casa. It should only take 1 to 2 weeks. Expect a call from the insurance company... they will call you to confirm your claim and to ask for additional details. Don’t forget to ask the name of the insurance rep and his/her contact details.
Step 5: After 3 working days, call the service assessor to verify if they already filed your claim. Ask for the date the claim was filed.
Step 5.1: After 1 week, make follow ups: call your service assessor daily until lumabas yung LOA. If di ka sinasagot or di mo makontak, call the Customer Service officer... siya kulitin mo. The customer service should make way na makausap mo yung service assessor. (This is the reason why there’s step 2.1).
Step 5.2: After receiving a call from the insurance rep, pwede ka na din mag-follow up sa kanya.
Step 6: The insurance company will issue LOA to casa. At this point, the service assessor will tell you if you can already bring your car in (“unit in”schedule). Assuming walang bibilhing parts, the unit in can be the same day the LOA was issued.
Step 7: Bring your unit in for repair. Again, don’t forget to bring something for the customer service (not unless you already brought her out for a date).
So now, how will you gauge if the process is taking too long? Kapag syota mo na yung customer service pero di mo pa din naipapasok yung unit mo for repair, it means sobrang bagal ng processing!
