^^^ The previous CVT of Honda (in their City and Jazz) - 2004 - 2008(?) has a supposed issue of "losing its efficiency", when you changed battery or somebody drove it erratically- and so the reset procedure... If you ask me, if the reset works,- I'd say yes, based on my limited experience with our 2005 Jazz.....

Most probably not applicable for the current models....

I really cannot put my finger on it bro.... Just my assessment/intuition....

My limited experience, when wifey was driving it the whole week and I really would not say rezing rezing drive.... And then it was my turn to drive it,- the drive felt sluggish or something,- and so I did the CVT reset procedure and it drove real smooth... Could be that the CVT was adapting to the driving style... Not sure.

When I changed battery,- I need not reset the CVT,- the drive felt the same (smooth)....

Sold the unit in 2010,- we love it actually,- But the prospect of expensive tranny maintenance was a big factor with our decision....

I think wala ng issue ang CVT ng current models.

Honda should not have reintroduced it, if the problem is still there.

As for the reset procedure,- not sure if it works for the current model.

But just the same,- go to the car>honda section. There is a sticky thread for CVT Reset Procedure....

hindi kasi ako ang first owner ng city ko kundi yung brother ko who just recently migrated to Canada. Odo reading is at 7,000kms. do i need to have it reset or recalibrated? just want to make kasi that my City is at optimum condition FC-wise.
