^^^ It's not a good idea to drive a new car uphill and with heavy load during the break-in period.

So it doesn't 'immobilize' let's say a few hundred meters away from the key fob? If there was an incident of carnapping, they can drive it up to anywhere so long as they don't turn the engine off?

^^^ Why would you leave your car unattended without turning off the engine? In the event of a carjack, does it really make a difference if you have a keyless push start ignition system or ordinary key when a gun is pointed at you?

Security systems are there as a convenience, it won't help secure you, your car or your belongings if you're careless or stupid.

^highly possible honest mistake scenario. Passenger owner carrying keyfob gets dropped of, driver speeds away without the key. It would be nice if the car shuts down on its own!

Ang sabi sakin ng SA before yun ung functionality ng immobilizer na kusa sya mamatay if the key is far enough from the car, as I remember, its about 1km far. So hindi ba totoo yung ganong functionality ng immobilizer?

Not true. A lot of SA's don't know what they're selling.

True that! I remember tinuro ko pa sa isang SA kung ano difference ng alabaster sa modern steel. Bago palang ata siya. Even the mechanics sometimes clueless sa new features. Sabi sa akin paddle shifters don't work on D mode at all. Pwede naman pala.

When I picked up my car at Honda BGC, a lady supervisor gave me an "orientation" (or rather..."disorientation") of my car.
First, she said that Climate control feature was not available for all Honda 2014 City models sold in the Philippines. Kahit VX+.
Then, she said that the key fob batteries were not servicable. If the batteries ran out, she said that I needed to run to Honda to have the keyfob serviced. And if it ran out of batteries while I was parked outside, I needed to have my car towed. WTF? Anyway, I was too excited to get my car at that time that I just let her go, and never bothered to correct her.

Yup, yung immobilizer niya will function if someone forced to enter or try to steal the car . Kapag hindi gamit yung original key.

Also, has anyone tried putting the key fob in the trunk and then close it, then the car senses that and automatically opens the trunk? Just saw this youtube video dati with the US accord's smart key.

Guys noob question lang. Can you manually start the engine without pushing the Push To Start button? Nung nag test drive ako wala din akong makitang keyhole to start the car, maybe i wasn't looking hard enough or wala sya talaga?

Hi guys, I'm still contemplating between the 2014 Mazda 3 (1.5) or the 2014 Honda City (VX). Anyway, can you guys recommend any Honda sales agents? Preferably Honda Pasig, Honda Greenhills, or Honda Makati.

    Thanks in advance!
