Wahhhhh nakakaiyak. GRANTED na sobrang traffic route ko. I'm getting a pitiful 7.7km/l. Tapos 8km lang yung distance ng office sa tirahan ko.
Wala pa akong chance mag out of town so hindi pa ako nakakatikim ng >10km/l.

Pero I think the figures are more or less correct. My previous car was an iDSI CVT City'03. I was getting 9-10km/l on the same route, and 11-13km/l out of town.

I am hopeful this will improve over time though.

Anyway, may tanong ako doon sa HU. When you start the music app, you are asked to choose the source -- AM, FM, USB, BT, iPOD and SmartPhone. I have a an Android phone (Nexus4) connected via USB. But when I select SmartPhone as the source, I get an error saying the smartphone is not ready. Na try niyo na ba ito?


BTW, yung rear camera niya medyo nakaka stress out. :D Sometimes, pag naka full stop ako at may sumisingit na motor sa likod ko, I go on reverse to activate the rear camera. Grabe kitang kita ko na sobrang lapit nila sa bumper ko. Halos dumidikit na yung handlebar nila. Grrrr!

Ako hdmi cable ginamit ko pang connect sa android device ko. Okay naman sya. Mirroring nga lang. Same tayo ng FC ser. Sana nga magimprove pa to after sometime.

Guys I need your advise. I am buying a brand new Honda City soon

(1) The Honda dealer is offering me full body rustproofing for around P4,500. He said that the stock rustproofing provided by Honda Philippines is quite thin and that if I want to be assured of better protection against rust I should opt for the additional full body rustproofing which they will apply to the City.

What do you guys think? Should I opt for this or will the stock rustproofing be good enough already?

(2) The dealer is also giving me free 3M tint. The name of the tint is 3M Metallic Shade (5/25/35). This is my first time to hear of this 3M variant. I am familiar with the other 3M tints like FX-ST, Black Chrome, Color Stable & Crystalline.

Is this 3M Metallic Shade any good? Or mas ok pa yung 3M FX-ST?

Sir Same with Mine sa offer ng casa na free tint ramdam ung heat sa harap better try the higher UV rejection from other brands. regarding the rust proofing tried it but be sure n wag pamadali ung paggawa like mine ewan kung anong kinalikot sa may malapit sa pasenger side may konting noise of loose bolts tried ko paadressed sa 1K PMS as per tech nila wala naman daw pag gamit ko sumusulpot ung tunog.

Had the exact question before. Ganyan din quote sa akin ng isang SA. Iniinsist niya na I should have this done or else.. blah, blah. Went to 2 more casas and the sales manager and another SA I spoke with were very honest about this. It's really not necessary bec cars have already been rustproofed in the factory. You don't need another layer. It's just what other dealers use for extra profit and commission. Did some research and it turns out they were right. In the end, I went with the more honest sales team of the other Honda group.

You don't need another layer. It's just what other dealers use for extra profit and commission. Did some research and it turns out they were right. In the end, I went with the more honest sales team of the other Honda group.

+1, there's really no need for the additional body rustproofing. On the other hand, it'll be good to get the undercoating instead.

That's also not necessary. Better to spend it on something else like better tint.

I checked the quotation from the dealer again... it says full body rustproofing.

How much are the 3M CS tints?

IMO ask the SA if rusts buildup included in the three year warranty period. If so, pa rustproof tayo after 3 years . If the SA said its not included, Then tell her you are getting your reservation fee and will look for other car brands that has superior rustproofing quality than a Honda .

You do not need to rust proof / undercoat new cars anymore. Heck, it wasn't even necessary with older cars. I'd avoid that dealer if they don't know the difference between undercoating and full body rust proofing.

an authority said it some years back, something like "showroom rustproofing is the single most expensive un-necessary expense in taking care of your new car. nothing post-factory can approach the original factory rustproofing every decent modern car gets.."

Pa suggest naman ng tint combi/brand guys. Gusto ni misis yung hindi siya masyadong kita sa side windows and yung so front normal lang and kitang kita pa rin ang kalsada sa gabi at sa tuwing umuulan.
