Question Guys! Does gasoline expire or will go bad after a long period of time na hindi gaano nagagamit ang kotse? Ang tanong ko lang paano naman ang gasoline inside sa gas tank? will it go bad ba kung d ako gaano nakakapag refuel ng new gasoline? last ako nagpa gas is mga 1st week of Feb pa. as of today more than 1/4 pa ang gas ko. Ano po ba ang tamang dapat gawin? kailangan ko ba palagi mag refuel ng new gasoline kahit madami pa gas ko at naka tengga lang kotse ko or ok lang antayin ko nlang maubos muna gas then refuel ulit or pwede din kaya kapag magpapa gas ako yung pang "1/4 refill" lang para mabilis maubos ang gas then refill ng new gas ulit ? worried lang ako baka magka effect sa performance ng kotse ko kapag old na gasoline ko. Thanks.

XCS contains ethanol. It will spoil if unused for a certain period. GH's got spoiled in 6 weeks. So better use it all up before then.

E10 gasoline can "spoil" in your car's tank. With my car, it takes about six weeks before I notice a change in the car's performance (slower, less performance, harder to accelerate). By the 8th week, my car would barely start or accelerate. I have to empty my tank and pump in fresh gasoline.

Aside from the slower performance, you'll also notice the smell of the exhaust pipe to be different from the norm, more stronger smell.

pwede siguro mag-add ng octane enhancer and water eliminator additive in case mapanis yung gasoline instead of emtying the tank. yun lang nga p500+ yata isang plastic bottle ng additive so parang nag fill up ka na din ng 10 liters ng gasoline pag bumili ka nun.

You can thank the infinite knowledge wisdom of our esteemed Senators and Congressmen for this one.

And one more thing. E10 gasoline gives you LESS kilometers per liter of fuel. So you end up paying more for the same distance. And in the same way, you pay more taxes to the government too.

It would be best to remove the stale fuel and pump in fresh fuel. Mixing fresh fuel to stale fuel will just end up with a mix that is probably good enough to let the engine run on but it wouldn't be at best efficiency. And in my opinion, a mixed tank would be best used up asap before the mixture starts to become stale.

^ So that might be the hidden agenda about ethanol. More revenue, more money in the pocket. Then again Juan dela Cruz will be the to suffer.

Well, that though has crossed my mind more than a few times when they first proposed the implementation of E10 gasoline under the guise of "clean and green" fuels. The problem was that the "green" movement was so heavy then that it drowns out the voice of "nay-sayers" to the point of demonizing them.

So we are left with "I told you so".
