Hirap pumili talaga dahil napakadaming choices. First of all I'm a happy owner of jazz ge, nung time na nabili ko un e wala pang fiesta at accent, dec 08, crosswind o stafe sana gusto ko nun kaso short sa budget.

March 3rd, 2011 03:00 AM #32*lsdgenie - your post helps a lot. I have set a call with my dealer this morning to discuss the differences of 2010 and 2011 model, if any.
I am sorry but my family trusts Honda. My father drives Honda and he insists me to buy Honda.
As I've said guys, my priority is to have my first car. I only used to borrow my sister's Innova and that being said, sometimes you can't borrow due to conflict of schedules, etc.
For the Insurance concerns of mine, I will have it escalated today. I haven't decided and picked any of the Insurance firms that have submitted their quotations. I am trying to find one who's able to offer a 12 month deferral. I hope there would be one.
For the FC, it gives advantage to know things rather than not. Whether Diesel or Gas? - the only difference between the two when it comes to Price is just 9 pesos (average), so I don't wanna bother members here reacting on that issue . My new car(hopefully) would be used for City driving, home to office and vv.
Honda users - which CASA is the best for maintenance and tune-ups (very futuristic here, hehe)? I live in Pasig, so I prefer near the area.

- I also considered Fiesta, but same concern - Ford just released this one. Parts are assumed not readily available in case repairs will be needed.

Yung New jazz and city 1.5 or 1.3 Iridium plugs na ang gamit according sa manual every 100,000kms or 5 years ang palitang ng plugs and 4 na plugs na lang ang gamit.
TS
Also consider yung cost ng PMS sa Honda kasi every 6 months or 10,000kms ang PMS. Not sure sa accent pero sa sta Fe namin at Tucson every 5,000kms or 3 months ang PMS. So lumalabas sa hyundai 4 times a year ang PMS while sa Honda 2 times a year lang. Pag tumagal malaki din yung magiging price difference niyan at yung time mo na ma coconsume sa pag punta sa casa for PMS.

March 3rd, 2011 05:07 AM #36before you even buy the car, make sure you have done your homework. it's a big amount of money.
go to honda site and see the specs for yourself. then compare it with another model like jazz if you will consider that vehicle as well.
now go to hyundai site and see the specs of the car you consider, and compare that with the car you are interested with... do the same thing for other cars you have in mind... so on and so forth...
then test drive. it is important to test it prior to making the purchase.
then finally decide which car you want to buy.
i am just surprised that accent is just a 4 speed matic? that's an old tech. if you are going to sell that car 3 or 5 years from now, it will have a small value compared with 5 speed matics. just my 2 cents.

4 spark plugs are enough to burn the gas, sayang lang un addtional 4, even toyota made an 8 spark plug engine pero di na nasundan. Napakalean nga ng i-vtec kahit 4 spark plugs, euro4 compliant.
I think wala magiging difference un 2010 and 2011 city, ang magiging value lang nun e sa resale(2011).
In the long run matipid ang diesel engine, malaki ang masasave pero pag naluma ang bigat ng magagastos sa overhaul, crosswind's overhauling kit cost is around 50 to 80K, parts only. Pero napakatagal naman bago masira lalo na kung mabait ang gagamit, 10 to 15 years.

March 3rd, 2011 12:13 PM #39If you can afford a HONDA, go for the honda city. It gives you the most premium feeling car, at par with mazda, among all the non-luxury japanese brands.
otherwise, stick to the cheaper brands like hyundai or toyota.

^ "Luxury" "Premium" na ang tingin sa Honda kasi hindi ginagawang Taxi.
Expensive price tag.
High maintenance cost.
Kapag sinabing naka-Honda ka, successful ka sa buhay.
Proud owner of a CR-V here. Kaso mas maganda yung Tucson eh, tsaka hindi rin cheap, 1.7 Million e
i suggest you ask about all colors available. a friend who once got a carbon bronze found out too late that her preferred white was available.
Walang CBM sa City, Civic lang.
*flor: Go for the City. Yan gusto mo diba.
For modern cars, the EPS seems to be more ubiquitous as the traditional engine-driven PSF...
