i am a honda car owner; tanong ko lang, how will this work when the engine has an engine immobilizer? it will need to bypass the immobilizer (by implanting the chip into the ignition) to make the push-button work. hence, compromising the security feature of the car.

having said that, how will the car be secured from scanners because it sounds like the new security is using an RF to unlock the doors and etc?

please shed light into this because i am interested in purchasing/installing one especially the push-button feature.

    cheers!

it does not work like that sir.

the use of the smart key is for the car to identify you as the owner of the car, and it will allow you lock/unlock the car and to allow you to start the engine if the smartkey is within range. kumbaga smartkey is just an additional key and without the smartkey di maiistart sasakyan. once umaandar na sasakyan at sinubukan nyo itapon yung smartkey sa labas, the engine will still continue running, pero di na maiistart ulit.

possible po majump start pero it will take time para matrace po yung wiring, and without the original key di rin po maiistart agad kasi may built in immobilizer din po yung original key natin.

having a PKE/smart key is an additional protection just in case manakaw susi, nillooban kayo ng bahay at kinuha pati susi.hinoldup ka somewhere at kinuha susi mo.

for the push start button feature, we still need to insert the key to use the push start system, kailangan pa maglagay ng bypass module para di na kailanganin ang susi, each car and model has its own bypass module.

thats the reason why di ko pa inooffer yung push start button, but i will be getting few units to test it on my honda city, yun nga lang kailangan pa din insert susi.

what is readily available is the power window closer module

we don't need to compromise the security, if we make a push start button, just insert your original car key to make the push start work, its a choice, if you don't want to start your engine by the original key, pwede po yun for double security purposes, the engine will start only if the original key and the PKE is present.
Another thing is, for my advance skills for installation such that kind of special features of car security, i can make the engine off, even its running, if the PKE is away from the car, anyone wont start the engine without it, like the security feature made in toyota camry 3.5Q.
