he was the anchor. It was the reporter who prompted the anchor, na available na yong pulis for interview (one way of saying sya ang papagsalitain mo).

Ako nga din, akala ko, he will pause for comm'l break, tapos off the air na lang mag-usap ang family at ang pulis.

Minutes before the flash report, the anchor was lambasting as normally as he would, drug lords and gambling lords. Nang pumasok ang flash report, at nabanggit na may sakong pera, ang notion ng anchor ay dirty money -- meaning, on air, ay makokontak nya ay sindikato.

But it was a hapless family, and he lost control on air, hanggang ngayon naalala ko pa iyakan ng mga anak at asawa.

speaking of immoral/stupid journalists...remembered doris bigornia of abs cbn during the SARS epidemic..after interviewing the family with the nurse infected with sars...punta siya ng st lukes .. pasok siya and said "may sars ako something or other"..sobrang irresponsible!!!! kung meron siya sars, dapat dumeretso siya sa alabang, forgot the name of the institute.. e pano kung mahawaan niya yung mga pasyente sa st lukes?? ang bobings sobra!!! nagalit pa siya sa mga guards sa st lukes kasi ayaw siya papasukin

Naalala ko dati yung sa July 16, 1990 earthquake. Nandun ang mga reporters sa nag-collapse na CCP sa Nueva Ecija (?). May student na nakaipit sa rubble na humihingi ng tulong.

Aba ininterview pa ng Channel 2! An hour or two later namatay siya...

I remember this interview very vividly! Every now and then it replays in my head every time an earthquake is reported in the news. If memory serves, the reporter then was Gus Abelgas. I remember him shoving the microphone to this girl's face and asking her - while she's trapped in between solid cement flooring at least a foot thick - "Masakit ba?". I thought, how the hell can you ask that kind of question? Or even conduct an interview at all? She was trapped from the neck down and you ask if it hurts? I remember just wanting to throw a chair at the TV. This is why I never watch the news every time the reporter is this guy.
