This is the opposite of "Bad motoring etiquette: What you hate the most." thread.

I'm pretty sure we all have fair share of driving stupidity when we're still a newbie driver or even those experienced driver already.

Ito yung mga charge to experience driving moment natin that could have lead to an accident or had lead to accident moment.

By the way newbie drivier lang ako:

I made a u-turn in SLEX alabang exit (south bound) w/out thinking how fast the cars are approaching on that side. Yung isa yung straight lang then yung isa nakatago sa right side. Felt so guilty after buti na lang walang sasakyan sa likod ko at walang humuli sakin.

A couple decades ago, I was still learning to drive. My instructor told me to slow down (mag menor) when approaching speedbumps.
So I was driving, and the instructor was lecturing. Medyo lumipad yung kotse. Since luma na yung kotse, nalaglag yung muffler after the car landed.
Walang witness.

Learned to keep my eyes on the road. Looking left or right while driving at speed is a recipe for disaster. Buti nalang near misses lahat dati and wala pa akong accident dahil doon.

I was backing up at the garage. Newbie driver pa ako then. I was practicing on using the side mirrors. I see the right side was clear, and started to back up. Ayaw magmove ng car. I'm sure I'm on reverse and pressed the gas pedal more.

Tapos walang gana. Nung tumalon yung kotse, biglang napa-upright niya yung upuan niya at naging alerto. :D

haha. sorry sir no offense meant.

OT: Years ago I tagged along my sister's driving lesson.

Buti di tinanggap ng enforcer at binato sa kanya yung 100, kuha pa license nya being the "teacher" in the car. (Yung enforcer pala, another moron, tried to take my sister's license, sabi namen student's permit lang hawak nya kasi nga "student driver" pa lang.

I was cruising at around 60kph when the red light lit up. Because i only know textbook knowledge at that time, i slammed the breaks pretty hard. My instructor was so infuriated with me because the jeep behind me barely miss the car that i was driving. Close call and plainly stupid on my part.

Assuming you could reach 60kph in the streets of manila (city of manila), you'd also need to do the same sudden brake else your friendly neighborhood croc will try to ask for lunch money.

    Beating the yellow light hehehe.

Very Newbie then and first time to drive at night. I don't even knew the difference between Low Beam and High Beam. Puro nasisilaw pala coz i'm using High Beam (yun pala yung kulay blue na ilaw sa panel).

Drove along Roxas Blvd from Vito Cruz intersection (CCP) to junction with Coastal Road,- with my headlights off...

Drove a borrowed vehicle after a pre-wedding party (I was chosen because I was relatively the most sober.....), with some of the entourage riding with me... At the national road, I was turning left to our village and so I hit the left turn signal... That deymed vehicle was modified,- hitting the left turn signal = signals to the right; hitting the right turn signal = signals to the left,= and so, I was mortified when the vehicle behind me overtook me on my left. Man, that was real close! Right after that,- the lady sitting beside me wanted to get off,- and I told her "don't you have faith in my driving???".... I only came to know about the signal light when we arrived at our destination....

Dont know if something like this has been posted already.

When I was a newbie driver, pinilit ko mag drive from Subic back to Manila na inaantok. I would say that I was aleep behind the wheel around 50% of the time.

Buti nalang walang nangyari and until now I feel so stupid and gusto ko batukan sarili ko.

Ever since then, kung inaantok during byahe, park nalang sa gasoline stations tapos tulog nalang sa kotse habang nakapark dun.

(dinadala sa amin yung car noon)

Nung bago ako I formed the habit of shifting to neutral while turning, so I could shift faster to the right gear when exiting.

Then nung paalis na kami i put it to Drive since A/T yung GS namin.

Then tried to put it back to drive umandar siya at nakababa kami ng gutter.

Hehe

nung medyo bata-bata pa tayo, a week old palang kami ng GF at di pa kami nag hoholding hands ever since. Bigla na lang nya hinawakan ang right hand ko while driving. tumingin ako sa kanya na para bang may gustong ipahiwatig. sakaka glace ko sa kanya while driving a few meters may nadaan akong malalim na path hole. pull over agad ayun may tama ang tire at benkong ang rim. sabay palit ng spare tire. yung moment si GF nabitin tuloy. Tsk.... p*st*ng butas yan
